I don't quite see why people think Nintendo planned this out.
It's pretty clear to me that they simply don't want to fall flat on their face once the Vita comes out. Sony packed a LOT into the $250 price tag, and all the 3DS did at that price was one small gimmick. Unless Nintendo knew Sony was going to choose $250 and whatnot, then it's not even up for discussion.
And why would Sony let Nintendo know any of that? They wouldn't. Nintendo ...
ME1 was vastly superior in the RPG department.
You actually felt a little giddy about upgrading gear and visiting shops.
In 2 I can't tell the difference between most weapons, and they were all automatically equipped when I got new ones. Felt lame as hell.
"and you can't name any other developer that has that kind of track record with a series with that many iterations to it."
How about Nintendo? Mario, Zelda, Pokemon. Probably all have 12+ iterations with a majority being good.
Is that a joke?
The fans loved XIII. The internet may have hated it, but I don't see why people think the internet qualifies as a guaranteed majority.
The Final Fantasy fan base has changed since ten years ago. You should get used to that fact.
It's not necessarily the engine....
Look at Blizzard. WoW started as a modified Warcraft 3 engine, and here we are with a MASSIVELY flexible game.
Look at Valve. Source and all the variety it provides.
Look at Unreal Engine. Lot of people do similar things with it, but it's not always the engine's fault.
Activision simply doesn't want to change their formula until it makes them significantly less money. I woul...
The numbers have never mattered nearly as much as the review itself. The fact that we're prioritizing the number nowadays is, to me, a clear sign that the amount of thought people put into their opinion of a game has dropped severely.
I think it has a lot to do with the internet.
"I dont wanna feel like I got shafted"
Yet you chose to be an early adopter.
Cancelled games being bad?
Who could have guessed?
"If you're going to act like you know about the subject, KNOW about the subject. '
Dude they say right in that article:
"(...)they have access to the development kit and they work closely with us."
And this is relating to Indian developers, which is right in the damn article description:
"(...)comments on Indian developers "
Next time please read the damn article before you s...
For some clarity here:
"Looks like the PlayStation 3 is fairly easy to develop games for provided you take or ask support from Sony."
Let 'em be excited about it.
"The CGI in next generation gaming console wont even compare to Avatar let alone the actual in game graphics of games on the consoles."
Yikes. I don't care how pissy and frustrated you are about a film. Go read the article next time before you say something completely unrelated to anything about the article.
Here I'll copy+paste it for you because I'm a nice guy and I'm I'm sick and tired of people complaining about something per...
"kruger is not a fighter"
But he's all about the fatalities.
I don't know about you, but the images spaced them out well enough for me
Unless of course you're one of those people that doesn't actually read the articles :/
"Gameplay makes the game, and gameplay wise I don't see any crazy innovations from EA/Dice. Same stuff"
So what do you think of Activision and MW3 then? Double dipped code worked on by the remnants of IW along with TWO other devs to make it on time for a yearly schedule? That's called a "train wreck" if you ask me.
Besides, DICE brought destruction into the online multiplayer FPS scene with BC, and now they're upping the ante r...
Wall of text?
It's an article man, what the hell did you expect?
"I'd say AA reached a "good enough" point this gen."
I strongly, strongly disagree.
GTA IV, even on PC, offends my eyes at times.
And how about those Gran Turismo shadows from the cockpit view? Worst jaggies since the PSX.
Infamous was another culprit I clearly recall.
And those are just games that I strongly enjoyed, yet was constantly reminded that anti-aliasing has a long way to go ...
Rockstar North did not make LA Noire. Team Bondi did.
So how does that make them sheep?
If you're sticking to IW just because they USED to be good, then you're a sheep.
If you're judging developers game by game, you're a sensible and reasonable human being.
Lot of gamers still have an interest in this. Believe it or not.
