Got this game on steam a while back and finished it.
It's really good. The art was really top notch. The story narrative was great too.
The music was soothing and almost put me to sleep, didn't like it much.
The reason I joined the boycott was because I was afraid Valve would turn into M$ slowly. At least they still care about the customers.
Still, I don't think I will buy L4D2. I mean it may be better than the first but I don't think it will warrant a buy so soon after the first one.

Strange that the recommended settings is 9800 Nvidia and Quadcore CPU considering the consoles are much weaker than that.
From the screens it doesn't look much better than the console version either. Cmon Capcom, optimize.

I went to a game store and saw this game running on a Sony Brevia HD TV.
The game looked amazing to me, I'm surprised at the low scores it got.

Crysis is open ended, there's no load time and the environement is huge. The draw distance and the realism is just an amazing technical feat. It is like you are playing in a real island with weather effects and so on.
Now look at Killzone 2, it is a closed sandbox game, it can't afford to have the huge and realistic environements of Crysis.

The world trade Center buildings collapsed, at least in this case you can defend it, plus it's just stupid buildings.
I think the reason is, it isn't a big budget game with little marketing, but it has been getting some press lately. I think it won't be overlooked.
It got ripped in reviews but it was a great expansion, the Orcs really kick ass and some very good feautures, the new upgrade system was really nice.

Funny how some people still argue that analog sticks are better than mouse. Mouse is king for strategy, FPS, RPG..etc.
gamepads are good for sports, fighting, most action games and racing.
The beauty of PC however, you can use whatever control you want, but you can't say the same for console (Yeah I know some PS3 games support mouse, very few).
