Put it like this. Think of when the PS2/XBox/Gamecube was around and compare those graphics to the PC at the time. It BLEW them away. Now the best looking game looks like it can be 'done' on modern consoles. (Not the Wii, as that is not a gaming console but a consumer electronic device) Next generation this gap will close even further. Agreed. Bubble for you. This is mentioned in 1ups podcast this week....I know, I know fanboys. But they make a good point. It is not like other entertainment industries thrive with used product sales. Sure there are used book stores and used CD stores but you don't see Best Buy selling used CDs/games or Barnes and Nobles selling used books in store. It is clear that Gamestop hurts publishers and more importantly developers..... People if you like a game, buy it NEW.
Why is everyone mentioning the Wii in this conversation? It is obvious by now that the Wii is not in the same market as the 360/PS3. As much as I hate to agree with the Wii guy, I do.... Gears online matchmaking is a fvcking joke. Please 360 fans contact Epic with your frustrations. I know I have multiple times. I was really looking forward to this game.

OK.... It will not be COD 5, as that is really what COD:WAW is. If it is COD 4:MW2 I will eat my shoes. But that is what Xplay reported the name to be. Why not just COD: Kicking Ass, again.
Some people say I am a fanboy because I bash on Gears 2 a lot (the matchmaking is really STUPID and broken) but guess what, I thought Resistance 2 did not live up to the hype either. I find I only play Left 4 Dead (360) and Far Cry 2 (Which I happen to own on PS3) to be the only two games I play over and over again online. I have yet to even finish the R2 campaign, as with Gears 2, I was highly disappointed. What is it with these two games not living up to the hype? I REALLY hope KZ2 does...
So I wasn't the only one that noticed most of those games were multi-plat excluding the Halo games, right??? Glad I purchased both consoles........Next year I might cancel my Xbox Live as what is the reason anymore???
Ok first of all PS4 will have a disc drive, more then likely BD. BD will be a standard. Period. Secondly Microsoft will be first to launch the next-next gen hardware, but as we will see I highly doubt it will be a significant upgrade. Console gaming is heading towards the way PC gaming works. Both will just compete as upgrades, but will be able to play one standard format. That is the FUTURE, as soon as everyone realizes this, that is for the best. The developers and publishers clearly...
I will totally agree with you here. Earlier today a KZ2 preview from 1up contained mentions of the game not being all that because of minor issues, such as the Helghast having red eyes, yet 1up or EGM made no mention of the HORRIBLE match making in the Gears 2 review. I am not sure if there is a 360 conspiracy or what, but it seems like the 360 titles are getting better treatment for sure.
Thankfully others know what I have been complaining about. For some reason it is much easier to get matched for Horde mode then the other multiplayer modes. I find that it will match me up with my team and then it seems to freeze when trying to match us up against another team. I have pretty much given up on multiplayer on Gears 2. Which is a shame as this was one of my most looked forward to "experiences" this year, and because Epic totally effed the multiplayer up I hardly pla...

I think he said Motorstorm was best "arcade racer". And since when did sales numbers matter towards the quality of the game? Everyone talks up Pyschonauts and Beyond Good or Evil for the Xbox and both sold like crap. Doesn't change that they were fantastic titles....maybe the same could be said for PS3 exclusives that don't top the sales charts but are highly acclaimed.
Above I said Gears 2 disapointed me and was meh, I would also like to say that I would agree with you about Resistance 2. I was also disapointed in that title as well. I guess I just love getting disagrees........

I also want to express I loved Gears 1 and really I was just disappointed with Gears 2, just as the author was in the article. And can anyone tell me that the matchmaking system is not a complete joke?
The game is OK, get over it. Not great, sorry. Horde mode is tremendous fun, but the online matchmaking is a mess and really ruined the versus mode for me. I find myself playing Left 4 Dead a LOT more..... And again I am sorry, but the vehicle sections in the campaign can suck my fvcking balls.
Well the fact that Saints Row 2 is more fun to play then GTA IV should answer your question about what people where expecting out of GTA. Yes the graphics are great (compared to SR2) and yet I would rather play SR 2 10 out of 10 times.
