It doesn't matter if you want to call it RDNA 3 or not the fact is that Geometry Engine is a more advanced version of the VRSS going into RDNA 2.

Of all the fans you're the worst, most of them are smart enough to see it needed to be delayed, you're actually asking for unfinished games...
Man xbox fans are really a risk to gaming, you guys just accept everything no matter the long term implications.

Delaying it was the right call... But the fact they only decided to delay it after the fallout is the problem. If people hadn't called them out they were going to release it then GaaS it up.
You xbox guys are quick to point out how Sony delays their games also, but Sony delays their games without needing to have the internet laugh at them.
Sony has management that can say "ok this still needs a little more work let&...
They didn't have to do anything...
Phil didn't have to announce it as a launch title way back in 2019 before they even had anything to show.
What happened was Phil mismanaged thier biggest franchise in the worst possible way. Why? Because they were focused on hyping up things they lost sight of reality. It's a common problem with them, same as cross gen which has now been scrapped.
It's the same mentality that had them...
What... we know they were planning to release it before a 3 days ago when they announced the delay. Before the delay it was going to be a launch title, why are you trying to deny that. They were literally talking about how they were going to patch in RT after launch.
You're trying to rewrite history.

Variable Rate Shading is nice for saving cycles, but VRS’ optimization capability doesn’t hold a handle to the Geometry Engine’s capabilities. VRS without GE means you’re still processing vertices you can/should eliminate in earlier stages to begin with. More free compute/memory.
All I have to say is that TF is only one part of putting the imag...
Nah, I have seen a lot of other reviews that are honest and admit it has the same problems as all the other streaming services. Latency and out or order packets are an inescapable truth of the internet, reviews like this are just misleading people.
Sony never stops innovating.
It's the mark of a true hardware company.
What are you talking about? It still charts in the top 5 for sales.
It's hilarious to see even after all the success it still has people still trying to make excuses, Well, it's alright you're opinion has the same value as a person who rates it 0 as soon as the user reviews opened.
"Because they're all small-minded, ists and phobes, right?"
From my experience this is the most accurate thing you said.
If you're saying that to me it must be on your mind so perhaps you should worry about yourself?
And why are you going on a gaming forum to tell me this?
Oh... well your comment history says all I need to know about you...
"we all have to be anti asian buy Xbox. Support American."
"If the demo had received glowing acclaim, but was still delayed in order to improve it,"
But this would have never happened, Microsoft's track record with releasing other unfinished projects show this. Without the backlash they absolutely would have released it.
That's why people are disagreeing with what your saying.
if you don't care why comment or read the site?
And you can buy both consoles if you want or not I don't care.
i'll just buy a PS5 then spend the $600 i'm saving by not buying an xbox to buy games for my PS5 or a new video card for my PC.
Ya know i was going to make a sympathetic reply to this article. But then I read it completely and it's basically just a Halo got canceled then taking the usual jabs at Miles Moralis that seem to be the banner of xbox fans to deflect from Halo getting canceled. it was then I realized this is just a well disguised Xbox defense article.
No thanks.
It's not really about both systems equally. Sony has said from day 1 they were going to have a full generation. It's only Micrsoft who tried to pass off some BS idea about cross gen then proceded to try to make Sony seem like they were taking advantage of consumers for wanting to support thier next gen console fully.
This is on top of Microsoft recent abandoning of their cross gen plans and canceling the xbox one versions of several games and after Phil Spencer and...
So true.
Of course they want to talk about numbers that's why they talk about subscribers and users so much. They just don't want to talk about numbers that Sony and Nintendo are leading on like sales.
If they don't sell you a phone how are you going to buy things off the app store?
Of course we can't go a single article with out someone bringing this up. It's like there are more people complaining about this than there are people who actually thought there was some sort of problem with appropriations.
You ignore the mismanagement factor though, and you're defending the fact they were willing to put out yet another completely unfinished game.
They shouldn't have needed to become the laughing stock of the internet to know the game wasn't ready.
It's like they got drunk crashed the car and you're rewarding them for calling a tow truck to take it to the shop... But they still got drunk and crashed the car causing it to need to be repai...
Comparing PS5's geometry engine to Direct X Variable Rate Shading (VRS) is an apples to oranges comparison, and a strange juxtaposition from Matt Hargett. The two featues are not mutually exclusive, one doesn't replace the other, both can coexist together.
VRS does not take the geometry of the object into account when the shaders chose which pixels to alter. GE takes this into account, it's fundamentally the more advanced technique. Exclusivity is irrelevant b...
