Looks great.
This is the previous gif which also looked fantastic.

sagapo, gamepass exists because Microsoft couldn't sell it's games and they were already making GaaS microtransaction games.
Sony however is selling more copies of their games than Microsoft has subscribers. And clearly Sony already has PSNow the difference is that Microsoft is trying to sell xbox based on it's subscription and Sony has a subscription but is trying to sell PlayStation on games.
I am not saying no subscription I have PSNow wha...
Digital Foundry is little more than Microsoft's promotional arm. Same with IGN and Tomsguide, they are Microsoft bought and sold.
Because Microsoft has rushed out next gen and their game division is years behind Sony because Phil has mismanaged it.
It's not a certification specifically it's just a testing process to see what drives are fast enough. Those drives will still compete with each other on the open market with PC's and Servers ect. so it's unlikely there will be any premium or branding on the majority of approved drives. Though I am sure there will be SSD's that will be like WD's "gamedrive" that will come out but it won't be limited to those licensed brands.
This seems like a bad idea. All this tech consolidation just eliminates much needed competition. ARM really didn't have much competition so now being bought by Nvidia makes their strangle hold even more hard to compete with.
Hopefully AMD or someone can gain marketshare in segment.
I don't want a free to play style subscription that needs to use GaaS filled with microtransactions to fund development either.
Look at the difference between the two consoles. Sony is selling it's consoles on GOTY quality games and Microsoft is literally trying to sell it's console on the back of a service. And because of that they are literally dragging the whole generation down trying to cater to lowest common denominators because the games are second to th...
Yes, history shows this is sadly true.
I doubt it, but if it's true it would be a powerful grab for PlayStation. Generally I wouldn't really support this type of game going exclusive but if Microsoft is going to pay to keep Yakuza off PlayStation then so be it.
Ah that one is a classic!
Good stuff I laughed.
The number one game from PS4 I'd like to see would be Gravity Rush 3, it'd be great to simply hear the series will continue.
"Now, care to try and explain how loading times for a game like Astroboy sucks on PS5 and its ultra-fast SSD"
The Astro Bot demo load time is 5-6 seconds, and it's full 4k with 4k textures versus 12 seconds for 1080p and sub 1080p textures. And Kena's developer says the game loads in 2 seconds on PS5 and we have seen R&C load in sub 2 seconds.
"And while you´re it, also try and explain the pop-in in that GT7 gameplay demo?...
The Series S runs the Xbone S version. Xbox One S renders at dynamic resolution including values such as 792p and 864p up to full 1080p.
And the SX is not running the game at even close to PC ultra settings.
ElementX, your defense of Microsoft is only highlighting Phil's mismanagement.
And they could use one of their other exclusive/timed exclusive next gen games. All they are trying to do is talk numbers and say the highest numbers they can fabricate hoping that people won't take the time to actually critically think about things.
And either way 12 seconds to load an xbone s game isn't impressive in any way other than to compare it to the HDD in...
What... this is so misleading. Why is Microsoft demonstrating all these last generation games and trying to give the impression that it's impressive on next gen terms?
They're demonstrating a last gen game that uses a variable resolution of 1080p and using a mix of PC medium and low textures on the xbone s. Meanwhile the competition is showing next gen games in full 4k resolution and textures loading full games or zones (R&C) in under 2 seconds.
I have always thought that if Shu spoke more fluent English he would make such a great face for PlayStation. He's got a really sincere love of games as well as being quite a skilled gamer. How cool would it be if PlayStation stage presentations were Shu playing the games live on stage.
"Will all steaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify and Pandora have the same rules apply to them"
Yes...
All those other services don't sell MTX and already are listed on the app store.
"M$ pays for those game licenses and for the servers the gamers Stream off of, not you Apple."
But Apple pays for the device Microsoft wants to stream on including the upkeep servers to apply patches the st...

Microsoft isn't using a PCIe 4 SSD. They are using a PCIe 3 SSD you can tell by the read write speeds that Microsoft themselves provided. Those are about $100 these days.
