Rush is a fine gameplay mode and I enjoy it, but the bread and butter of BF has always been the sandbox gameplay of Conquest.
I can totally understand why some would prefer rush though, the typically smaller infantry-based maps and focus on pushing choke points makes for a bit faster gameplay than you see in conquest.
Also, if all you've played is BFBC2, your a noob at BF.
Is it really necessary to have ridiculously long tags? I mean, -=::{1337sniperz4420}::=- is super cool and all (note: sarcasm), but that defeats the purpose of a "tag".
actually its open beta. period. you will not need a pre order.(this was confirmed via twitter in case you were wondering). people who got suckered into buying MoH and those who pre ordered BF3 through Origin will get "early access" I do believe it is on all supported systems.
If the page is up I'm betting the early access will be starting pretty soon. Last I heard they were shooting for this month for the actual Open beta though.
Looks like i need t quit being lazy and pre order so i can get "early access" I'm going to buy it no matter what so may as well take advantage of the pre order perks.
Jesus that game is beautiful . The lighting is fantastic.

Tried this out a few days ago. I found the gunplay rather lacking
"buffer" refers to the ladies who keep male porn stars hard between takes.
Someone will figure out how to exploit it and have it done in a few days. It always happens

20 days of playtime in multiplayer game isn't all that unheard of. I have that double that in Tf2.
The fanboy wanking in that article is hilarious
The problem with hat statement is that the Mario games tend to innovate and push the genre forward when they come out, The CoD franchise hasn't done that since at least COD4. A more apt comparison would be to compare it something like the Tony Hawk franchise. CoD just hasn't quite hit that point where it becomes irrelevant due to the lack of innovation and yearly outings, but its getting close.
I do not think CoD will be outsold by BF3 this time, although I do think...
"COD Elite is only 49.99... it's a hell of a deal"
no its not
imagine if you are plating this on Xbox360
60.00 for the game
50.00 for xbox live for one year
50.00 for CoD elite for one year.
if you play on the xbox you are paying 160.00 a year to play MW3
You get a lot of features that should be free, and you get a "slight" discount of upcoming map packs. I don't k...
Its a horribly predatory business model based on the fact that kids have no qualms with spending their parents money. They are completely unaware of the type of precedent they are setting for future DLC pricing.
He is more disappointed he didn't get to play a big map with planes and other vehicles than he is with the actual game, since once you get into the actual article he does nothing but praise it. This is just a case of putting up a misleading headline in order to get clicks.
I can why can't you?
IF you want to play offline you DO have to sign in first and "store your account info" on your pc. it is a form of drm but its not technically always on drm.
I'm assuming you didn't read the article. take for instance, this quote
“This belief that you increase your monetization by making your game worth less through aggressive digital rights management is totally backwards."
He thinks overly aggressive DRM is actually a detriment to sales, because consumers don't want to have to deal with it, (look at the whole From Dust debacle for instance).
Steam in itself is a form of DRM, but ...
