The cheapest 16 core processors, like the AMD Opteron 6200 series are going to run you $500.00 easy. Not to mention that these are primarily used in servers at the moment. you won't find them in home PC due to the cost.
You would easily be looking at a console costing $800 or more.

A lot of people are confusing technical problems with design and functional issues. Technically, the UI works fairly well minus the few odd issues with mouse clicking.
The problem with the UI on PC is that it doesn't take advantage of being on the PC. We have much more control and buttons available for use to navigate the menus. Plus a mouse. There are certain basic things PC gamers come to expect in a UI for an RPG like Skyrim, and Bethesda absolutely missed the mark on ...
Let me guess, you play games on a console right? The fact that they do not take advantage of the mouse/keyboard combo on PC makes it a sin against the PC master race. its pretty inexcusable.
1. I actually prefer to play with no quest markers at all. for me it s an immersion thing. Skyrim is all about exploring this big huge sandbox and just traveling from point to point on your map kind of defeats that. My friend even turns off the compass. This is on PC obviously.
