"Scores be damned. Assassins Creed: Revelations is no different to Brotherhood & II in terms of playability and quality. It's just getting low scored because it is now more of the same. - Same deal. "
Yet COD continues to get a pass on this.
Called it. 6.5 million first day.

People really need to stop giving vghartz attention
I like how vgchartz presents this as fact when Activision hasn't released any public sales figues yet. They were off by a few million when they did this fir BF3 a few weeks ago.
They just had to shoehorn MW3 in there. the game has been out for barely 2 days.
I don't really see how thats possible, considering both console only support 720p
No one on the internet likes anything. especially if its popular.
The video at the end is worth the click
ITs kind of stupid to be comparing scores this early. Give it a week. BF3 had a 94 metacritic score for the first 24 hours which would put it ahead of BF3 atm. If you want to do a comparison than do it right.
8/10 worst game ever enjoy your bomb Activision CoD franchise is ruined.
That should sum up the next 50 posts.
Day one pirate to play the campaign. then it gets deleted off of my hard drive forever. Not saying its a bad game. I just prefer the battlefield series.
The article doesn't even mention battlefield.. Way to misrepresent the article submitter. Its just some CoD fan rambling about why he likes the game. hardly worth a news submission
BF games aren't realistic at all. There are certain design elements that are meant to give the impression of realism (Like bullet drop) but at the end of the day its no more realistic than CoD is.
BF offers a different play style than CoD .You have sandbox play vs arena style play. If you prefer one over the other, thats fine, but that doesn't mean one is better than the other.
I read the review and he brings up some very valid points about the UC series and the genre as a whole. He doesn't really like the fact the game has turned into a 10 hour long movie with some gunplay thrown in between. It is a valid criticism. He didn't like the story he explains why.
It is the job of a critical reviewer to give their opinion, and to back up that opinion with good reasoning. He did a good job of doing it. Now I don't agree with the score either, ...
well thats...underwhelming. The bundles aren't too bad but i think its a stretch to call those single v game prices "sales"
If they pump out DLC like Bad Companies Vietnam and the upcoming Karkand that is more than just a few new maps, but new models weapons, you know a true expansion, like in the old days before the term "DLC" existed.
paying 15.00 for a few new isn't going to win me over.
That is EAs estimated sales which should be much much closer than vgchartz guess.vgchartz is often way off in their estimates so i wouldn't put much faith in what they say.If you have a good reason to doubt the numbers please explain.
Its perfectly reasonable MW3 could sell 10 million plus copies if you consider the history of the game. It will be interesting if it doesn't happen though.
In the case of your Xbox the engine is limited by the hardware. the Xbox is ancient in terms of computing hardware these days.
EA has released a press release saying they have sold 5 million worldwide the first week. making it the fastest selling game in EA history.

This is why you take vgchartz with a grain of salt. You gotta remember its an estimate, not a hard number.
so 5 million on the first week? I think they have been fairly successful in taking a b...
I'm assuming you haven't played the game, or you are playing it on a console to come to that opinion. After getting in a lot of hours this week in MP on the PC. there are quite a few maps that have that distinct BF feel. It does have rush mode which is directly from the bad company franchise, but i think you are going to have to just deal with the fact that the game is changing over time. If you want to buy the same game over and over again I'm sure CoD would love to have you.
Different writers have differing opinions. Your argument might hold water if McShea wrote the review on MW3, but he didn't
