They charge for it because they can. I don't hear many people complain about the subscription fee either, because they know its worth its weight in the use they get from it.

I'm going to sound like a fanboy here, but XBL is more practical than PSN. Content on PSN has to be downloaded AND installed, whereas content on XBL is ready to play after the download. Downloads and updates are quicker on XBL, which isn't just an opinion, this has been proven. Also, some games require a mandatory installation on the PS3 (up to 5GB), whereas installs on the Xbox 360 are completely optional for people that want to optimise their experience.

There seems to be too much fine print surrounding PSN Plus. Also, I don't think that it offers enough for people to make the subscription jump. Sure, many people will sign up now, considering there is a 3 month trial, but once that finishes I think the numbers will significantly decrease.

Alan Wake is an excellent game, I can't believe more people didn't buy it in America. Hopefully it sold better here in Europe.
I must admit, that E3 demo looked great when they were being chased by that giant wheel or whatever it was. However, I hate mindless shooting games, like Unreal (just my opinion) and there's other shooters that I'm more interested in anyway, like Crysis 2 and Rage.
Realistically, £100 is probably the best price for all concerned. It's relatively affordable as a Christmas gift and Microsoft probably wouldn't be making a huge loss on them.

I never thought they would release this game in its current form. Its obvious that its a piece of technology that will eventually form Lionhead's (or any other developer for that matter) big project.
What I loved in general about RDR is that it took its story seriously. There were still a few funny moments here and there, but it was serious enough for you to care about John Marston and his endeavours. In GTA4, its just pure slapsick and most of the characters are just giant douches.
But yeah, great ending. One of my mates sold the game before he got the "real" ending.

I doubt that many people will bother getting Move for games they can play with a controller. It just seems like a novelty that will wear off over time. Hey, I hope I'm proven wrong though.
