This is an easy one, it means Skype on 360 most likely..for gold members of course.
Skype is actually pretty great for avoiding long distance fees, but so are a lot of other things.

Activision is going to run this franchise into the ground and ruin it.
It's a shame, the game is often very good but I'm already kinda sick of the same thing each year.
COD4 innovated tremendously, it was a totally novel experience for me but the rest are just variants of that exact same formula. They never improve on the game significantly, each iteration is exactly the same but with a different coat of paint. They don't even refine the game...
Having friends over is more fun but a lot of people don't have time to have their friends over every day. Also, I'd never ask my friends to come over for an hour and a half at 11:00 when we all have work the next morning, it's just more convenient to play with them online.
I agree insofar that the game can be great, and is when it's not lagging horribly (which happens approx 25 percent of the time IME) and when its grain glitch free.
MP is a tonne of fun when not lagging and I really enjoyed the SP until that first raining level, then the game graphics looked like a blocky, artifact filled mess with lines going across the screen. It gets worse the in subsequent levels as well.

I agreed with the author until he listed Fighting Games. To me, fighting games are one of the few genres of games that absolutely need online MP.
I'm not 12, my friends can't come over and play everyday like they did when I was a kid. We all have jobs and responsibilities. If I want a match of SSF4 at 1 a.m., I need online MP.
Without online for fighting games, how else could people play MP regularly.
The game is predominately meant for online play, I don't plan on buying it but seeing as you did, I'd wait to pass final judgement until you play it online.
It's like if you bought BFBC2 right now on PS3 you'd think the game sucked because the MP is really what it's meant for.
I got the free month as well because I couldn't use my consoles because my TV broke and even with no other gaming options I couldn't bring myself to play the game after a few hours.
It was so boring. I don't know if it's because the gameplay is so old now that it's outdated but I think an MMO should have been way more enjoyable. It was like playing an RPG with a very weak story.
Did Crytek write its own questions for the interview? Gamespot are supposed to be journalists, what about the constant complaints of MP lag and the film grain issue that Crytek has officially acknowledged but has yet to fix, over a month after release.
Gamespot should have reviewed the forums first to see that the console Crysis 2 community is largely unhappy with all the technical problems with the game and think it's completely unfinished.

I'm no fan of IGN reviews but judging from the journalist community (if you can call them that) the game is mediocre.
Looks like Crysis 2 got a stay of execution, I was about to trade it in due to the persistent issues.
I have 3 reasons:
I bought COD4, MW2 and Black Ops. COD4 was amazing at the time but now I'm sick of the exact same gameplay formula will no improvements (sorry, the dolphin dive sucked).
Also, MW2 ruined the great story in COD4 by making it less war like and way too hollywood action flick like.

Lighting looks slightly better on 360, sharpness and details look superior on PS3 but like almost all new releases they're 99% identical.
That was the worst preview I have ever seen as there was no preview.
