I love GTA games (yes, IV too), every time they release it feels like gamer Christmas.
360 version look 4.5738% better.
PS3 had a pretty big price cut soon-ish after launch and it has done very well.
One of the best games this year, correction, this gen - the entire series.
Better be all of them!
.... especially Infamous
If it's not significantly scientific and utilizes creative skill to manifest ones mental vision into something tangible, then it's art.
So games, books, movies, paintings, comics, music, photos, etc., can all be and often are art.
I wish more guys were gay, more girls for me then.
Lol @ homosexuality being a choice, it's as much a choice as a person's sex is.....or maybe their gender hmmmmm interesting thought.
Anyways, to the above comments, I hate discrimination, life is short, enjoy.
All these religious people so concerned with the after-life should hurry up and get there, leave the living to people that want to spread love, not intolerance and ignorance. ...
There's still a long way to go in terms of memory though, games are taking up 20plus gigs more often these days so maybe phones will technically be able to create the same graphics but the games will still hav to be streamlined.
Not to mention ISP bandwidth caps and download times.
So sure, maybe in 2 years phones will be able to recreate L.A. Noire; however, phone gaming will still kinda suck if their's no alternate controller option.
it's not so much cross-game chat, its that people want the chat connection on constantly, not just in the game.
That was a very selective comparison.
Anyways, all I really got from that is that the previous belief that only 2 consoles can survive in the mrket was wrong, all three have done very well.
PS3 and 360 are tied for the core/hardcore market and Wii owns the casuals.
More and more multiplats games are in the plus 15 gig category now. I like that for some reason.
Off topic but I will never buy 5 gum, their ads are extremely annoying, overbaring and loud.
I can't wait until those 5 gum advertisements have run their course.
Thanks for the correct info. Wow 7 years! I thought 5 was already too long.
I enjoyed the game a lot but it could have been so much more.
I doubt Frostbite will have a bug where large rectangular blocks/artifacts overlay the image and lines travel across the screen on 360 halfway through the game - sort of like bad cable reception.
Crytek admitted to this the presence of this bug on their forum, there's a 113 page thread on it but Crytek can't/won't to fix it.
Gears 2 already runs better than Crysis 2, Gears 3 will look even better.
Killzone 3 already runs and looks...
I think the combination of iphones, Andoid phones and iPad may destroy the portable console market.
I have no plans of getting any portable consoles because at home I play on the bigger versions and when I'm out and need to kill time, iPhone games are perfect.
I wouldn't have enough time that needed killing to justify investing myself heavily in a portable game....unless I played it at home but I rather just play on my big HDTV with surround sound. <...
This game has me really excited. It looks like a breath of fresh air from the military or post apocalyptic games that every dev feels compelled to make.
Bioshock Infinite also looks really exciting for this reason. I want games to take me to new worlds, not New York, the middle east or a made up version places resembling them.
360 will go down in history as the most unreliable console ever.
MS almost totally blew this generation, they survived because by 2007 they had a monster list of exclusives (Mass Effect, Gears 1, Halo, 3) and a way more developed online service.
Then they lost ME and sold Bungie!!
I wish MS was more like the 2007 MS.
when a game takes 5 years to make it needs to sell like 5 million copies.
No way, iPads are like 500-700 dollars.
they may destroy portable consoles.
The author misrepresented Parson's statement. Parson said that in 2012 developers will 'prepare' for the transition not that the transition will occur.
Late 2013- late 2014 seems more likely, as 'prepare' seems to be in the process of making next-gen games.
