I think so, MS feels they already have the core audience and want to expand market share by going after casuals...which is a great idea IF they can hold onto the core.
Problem is, core gamers don't care about brands as much as they do about games (which is why so many switched from Nintendo to Playstation to Xbox) so who ever is offering the most best games will have the core gamers.

Uncharted is the only series that does cinematic gaming really well, where I feel like I'm playing a movie imo.
I love MGS4, it's one of my fav game this gen but I don't feel like I'm playing a movie, more like a great game with cool cut scenes, and Heavy Rain lacks the gameplay for me to consider it cinematic gaming.
Kind of sad that instead of MS evolving it's exclusive IPs by turning them AAA, it's down grading them to Arcade games.
Fable should be re-made into a major RPG, Crackdown should be remade into a major AAA open-world.
MS is too concerned with promoting Kinect, MS Games should spend real money on more than just Halo. They have so many games close to greatness but instead are just downgrading them.
I wouldn't consider myself an AC fan but I'm very excited for this game.
Although I've owned AC1,2 and Brotherhood I've always thought the gameplay (particularly the combat) in AC games lacking - they were great bargain purchases but never worth $60 imo.
This environment has me excited again - hopefully the combat is much improved.

I found the shooting in RDR so satisfying due to how the enemies reacted to every bullet, this game's shooting should be 10x better than that.
I hate it in games where enemies don't react to being shot until their dead - every bullet should elicit a physical reaction.

I'm a bit confused by this FOV thing - it seems like the bigger the number the less zoomed the screen is. I don't want to be too zoomed out but I definitely could be missing something important here.

I like the idea of cutting out the middlemen (Sony and MS). I'm not a fanboy, they restrict content and add a lot of costs.
I think a Console PC (CPC?) with universal specs could have the benefits of consoles (optimization) without the hassles of PC. I'm curious about the OS though, certainly it would need something less resource intensive than Windows.
