Am I the only one who thought Reggie Fils-Aime when Ballmer was cooing "see? It can even detect your eyebrows going up and down. And it can detect you laughing. Hahahah!"
Next up: Kinect Facial Expressions!
That picture of Ballmer reminds me of Chris Farley's Bennett "air quotes" Brauer skit.
Maybe I'm not "camera friendly", I don't "wear clothes that fit me", I'm not a "heartbreaker", I haven't "had sex with a woman", I don't know "how that works".

Why are there so many GAAAAAMES coming out?
If any game(s) should be in this article, it should be DJ Hero 2 and Singularity.
Enslaved failed because it was hyped by many to be "a better game than even Uncharted 2!!!!" but many gamers ignored the PR hype and saw the game for what it is: an average adventure game with auto-jump mechanics.
I've always loved gaming since the NES days, but I've always had complaints. I guess these days we simply have different complaints.
It's normal to lament the "good ol' days", but the good ol' days had their own problems. Take Half-Life, for instance: a great game, but the physics were simplistic, there were about 4 NPC models in the entire game (and half as many NPC voice actors), but it was still a great game. Nowadays we have far more realist...
MvC3 looks SWEET!
However, I'm voting with my dollar by NOT buying it. I don't like how CAPCOM is so blatantly DLC-whoring this one. I'll maybe buy it when it's $30 or less.
Edit @ FrankMcSpank
I'm pretty sure it is coming out Q1, so...in a month or two or three?
Dood!
I hope Skyrim is good. I've been let down by recent "high fantasy" games over the past few years. Oblivion was a letdown compared to Morrowind (IMO), Dragon Age was a letdown compared to Baldur's Gate/Neverwinter nights (IMO)...
I just want a good medieval RPG. The Witcher is the only recent title that has recaptured the Baldur's Gate/Ultima era.
But I was told my IGN that "graphics don't matter"...
What am I supposed to believe? Am I supposed to believe my deceptive, tricksty, unreliable brain that is telling me "Wow! both games look great! They sure do look immersive"
Or should I believe the honest and helpful IGN that is telling me to ignore my brain and not care about graphics?
If they're giving it the same affection and respect as they're giving Deus Ex, then it may turn out great.
Who would have thought that Eidos - of all the studios - may actually be the ones to somewhat redeem Square Enix in the eyes of gamers with Thief and Deus Ex?
Edit @ Neckbear
I can't speak for "many old Deus Ex fans", only myself, as an old Deus Ex fan. I'm exited for the changes. Deus Ex is great, but it also suffers fr...
Yep. Y'know, it is a bit fanboyish for PS3 fans to keep saying "hey, look at these games we're gonna play!", but I'd take bragging about games over bragging about sales any day of the week.
But hey, the media is all too willing to give Microsoft the benefit of the doubt and say whatever it takes to make them look good.
That's why we're just now seeing "why do graphics matter?" articles from big-name websites (even thoug...
The Fable ending was pathetic. I was dumb enough to try the series after the turd that Fable II was, but I deserved every wasted hour I spent on Fable III. I too was shafted by the "magical fast-forward in time. Ooops! You lost!" gameplay mechanic.
I'm just wondering if this was REALLY the gaming news people wanted:
- AvatarKinect (a.k.a Home)
- Windows 7 phone (ccol, but not revolutionary)
- XBOX LIVE ON YOUR PHONE WITH ACHIEVEMENTS! Hahaha what? Can't believe people are buying into this
Shouldn't gaming news have games involved?
PSN includes PSP users.
However, it IS a free service. No big surprise that a free service has more users than a paid one.
In other news, Farmville has more users than World of Warcraft.
So in IGN's eyes, the 10,000th Tetris remake > GT5.
Question: is this the same "spear gun" that was usable in the demo?
Any MGS fan should play this game.
People who deny the importance of graphics are fools.
"Graphics" deals with physics (yeah, NOT important), the number of enemies on screen at a time (yeah, NOT important), the amount of detail on screen at a time (yeah, NOT important).
People need to stop making excuses. Great graphics are great, and they're an integral part of 95% of good games out there.
The "fail" lists this year always focus on GT5 and try to knock it in some way, but "professional" journalists are missing it.
Ask the GT community if they're disappointed. Everyone is satisfied. Everyone is loving it. Everyone is playing it. How can that be a fail?
Another "journalist" who is trying to act edgy by knocking on GT5...
And how does the "Delay it one more time" award NOT go to Gears of...
F.y.i, this game still exists according to SEGA, as well.
Alan Pritchard had an interview in Game Informer last month and he said "Colonial Marines is still on [but] it won't be November 11th [their original launch date"
I love Uncharted, but I'd also love for Naughty Dog to tackle a new game genre.
Perhaps FPS, to show everyone else who is boss? Perhaps a classic Platforming game? Or maybe a fully open-world game?
