I would actually say buy an XB1 first as it's more of an all-in-one experience (although that has, so far, fallen short of what MS had envisioned). If you're just in it for the best gaming console, I would agree that PS4 i the choice. I guess is depends on what you are looking to get out of the console.
The millions and millions that own a PS4 would disagree that it's a no-brainer, especially on the hardcore gaming fix.
I am lucky enough to own both. The PS4 is in my home office hooked up to a gaming monitor. My XB1 is in my living room hooked up to my big screen. That should probably tell you all you need to know as to how I view each console right now.
Greenyboi - what kind of drive did you put into your XB1? I am thinking I'll need one sooner rather than later because I am digging on the digital downloads. Definitely getting the disc-based Halo bundle though.
You've got to be kidding. I will agree that I think XB edged out PS. But by two miles? Come on man, neither one dropped any "bombshells" like fanboys from each side claimed they would. I was underwhelmed outside of the Halo release coming on 11/11. That was the only surprise for me. Other than that, meh. This gen won't truly kick off until Q2 2015.
I think it's only 1 remaster (Halo 2). The other three get bumped to 1080p/60fps.
If you have better info, let me know. Either way, 11/11 is going to be quite a day. Sorry work, you'll take second priority that day... and maybe the next...
What I hear is that ONLY Halo 2 will get a remaster. The others get "upgraded" to 1080p/60fps.
I don't have any direct proof or whatever but that's what I get from reading the Amazon summary and from what others have told me.
If anyone has better info or something more concrete, please let me know. I'm already hyped but the more the merrier.
I fall into the 25%. I LOVED the Halo 2 campaign. Seeing it in remastered form? Sign me up.
I also LOVE the co-op modes (Halo 4 online co-op missions sucked up more hours than I care to admit). So much fun.

Wait, I'm amazon and, while it says Halo 1 is an anniversary edition, it doesn't say it's specifically "remastered" like Halo 2 is. Do you have a confirm that Halo 1 is getting a remaster too?

The show was underwhelming given all the hype and "major bombshells" that had been prepared. That said, I am so excited for the Halo remake. It was a decent show, about what I expected. Sorry to those who expected some game-changer. Sony's presentation will be similar, nothing game-changing.

I am so excited for this. I couldn't get enough of the Mass Effect series last gen. This and Uncharted. It's all starting to come together. And the Halo remastered bundle is coming out later this year too. Oh, yeah, I'm not excited or anything. Probably going to lose my job... Worth it, totally worth it.
