How do you know there is parity on Destiny? Just because resolution and frame rate are the same does not mean there is parity. Effects could be turned down, AA methods could be different, etc.

Resolution isn't remotely close to the sole dictator of graphical fidelity.

Legendary... ugh... I don't know if I'm good enough (yet) to get through all four on legendary. Halo 4 on legendary was not a good time for me. There was one spot I just couldn't get past. I finally did, but it was obnoxiously hard.

I am going to play all of the games in order again to refresh myself on the story. I remember playing Halo CE on the original XBOX and vaguely remember the storyline. My memory fails me on 2-4.

Yeah, that's kind of where I am now. I have both consoles and I think my XB1 will be used mostly for exclusives and media. My PS4 is what I'll use for multiplats until/unless XB1 can close the graphics gap. Not a big gap but it undoubtedly exists and I prefer to play the strongest version of a game (on console, I don't do PC).

Run along and play, little child. What are you, 13 or so?

Pre-pubescent little peon running around with mommy and daddy's money. You're pathetic. Your parents are probably disgusting nobodies as well given how you act.

It won't look better than TLOU Remastered. It just won't and that's OK. I promise you'll live.

This is coming from someone who has both titles pre-ordered. I'm really looking forward to both. Because I like games and am not some weirdo who, for some odd reason, defends a piece of hobby hardware to the death. Don't you understand how sad that is?

MS doesn't care about you. Sony doesn't care about you. They want your money.

You won't see detail like that in-game until PS5 and XB2. Or a PC in a couple years.

1080p without sacrificing performance? Please tell me which ones? That goes for the PS4 too. Both consoles make performance sacrifices to hit 1080p. PS4 just has stronger hardware and can hit that target more consistently and/or without having to sacrifice as much.

I'm thirsty.

I know I am.

Guaranteed disaster:

1) Start a website that caters to pubescent children... and also video games, sometimes.

2) Let said pubescent children comment and go to virtual war over a hobby. Let them defend their console of choice to the death. Did I mention mommy and daddy purchased said console? No? OK, well make sure that's in there too. VERY important that the children have no financial tie to their console and feel no effect f...

Do you feel better now?

Instead of bitching on some random gaming site, why don't you take your own advice and go play some games?

... says the guy bitching and moaning.

Why don't you go play some games?

I own both. Yes it does. Looks materially better in my opinion.

Sucks for that guy. I bought an XB1 and a PS4 because I enjoy games. This console war crap is pretty pathetic. Remember when video gaming used to be fun?

Bunch of pubescent teens running around nowadays with mommy and daddy's money. Pathetic.

Yup, you nailed it.

Eh, I disagree on that comparison. Killzone was supposed to be a pretty launch title and nothing more. It wasn't supposed to move consoles or be some game-changer. That's essentially what it was. I played the game, went "damn that's pretty, best looking console game so far" and then never finished it. Similar idea with Ryse although I'd argue Killzone looks a little better. I couldn't finish that either.

Titanfall on the other hand wasn't a ...

I played it and I think he's right for the most part. I don't really care about the resolution in a game like this so I'll skip that part.

That said, I played the crap out of it at first but I've grown tired of it. Clearly it underperformed the hype. That's ok, it was still a good game and moved some consoles (I bought two Titanfall bundles for relatives). As you mentioned, it gets repetitive and does resemble COD with mechs. Again, nothing wrong with tha...

You're kidding right? Neither console is taking anything to the house this year. Both platforms are pretty sparse in terms of good exclusives. I own both and my favorite game this year is Infamous. I don't love it and I certainly don't love Titanfall either (my second favorite game so far).

Further, you realize that 9/10 games are multiplat and not exclusive, right?

This is like the people who hated the Destiny alpha.

"Destiny sucks. I know that because I played the ALPHA, which represents probably 5% of the game, and did so over a brief weekend. I know exactly what Destiny is and how it will play. Bugs? Those aren't getting ironed out, no way. Because that's not what an alpha is for."

And I want the author to fail.

But seriously, I don't like the premise that every big budget game will be some open-world RPG or shooter. I don't think that will be the case. I want to believe that developers will make big-budget games that are unique in terms of game play.

But maybe not. Whatever the case, I loved playing the Destiny alpha. I can't be the soothsayer that others on this sight claim to be, but I know that I'll really enjoy th...
