I believe that is realistic vision.
The only thing that scares me is what medium will it use.
PS1 - CD
PS2 - DVD
PS3 - Blu-Ray
PS4 - ? I hope it's still BR Disks but their track record doesn't support this.
Could it be BR 2.0 that supports 4k native(movies not games)?
Blah, when will someone leak the specs on both the PS4 and XBoX.
I do wonder if this game will finally support keyboard and mouse support on the PS3.
We as the consumer have the power to change this. We can make conditions for the console workers 10x better. We do not have to support companies that treat their workers subpar. But will the american consumer accept spending 1.5-2x more for the same product so worker unions in the states make an honest living? Probably not. We have a tendency to turn a blind eye to anything that happens in regions that aren't ours... We read an article and be like aww, thats sad and turn around and ...
@Sidar - "Even the dual core 6990 and gtx 590 can't render 4k resolution even the SLI and crossfire LOL..
I'm guessing that at least 6 core or more GPUs will do the native 4k at 60fps"
This was in reply to these statements. I know the card would not do game rendering at that resolution. I believe it would require twice the amount of video ram it currently has. Now movies - it should shine nicely.
ATi's 7970 supports 4k.
That is how the newly advertised BDP-S790 Blu-Ray player will produce the 4K image. Upscaling from 1080p.

I believe this will be the story of the PS4.
Actually just advertised at CES 2012 - Panasonic has a 20.5" 4k screen.

I really wonder if this would be worthy as a laptop screen.
Glad to hear someone else co-sign that. I'll definately pick it up next time at Gamestop.
You bet dude.
Xbox 360x 2:The Next Generation
or simply
X3 (x cubed)
I saw it in the store but was afraid to purchase. It looks like I have another jrpg to pick up.
Yeah the people that bought the system care. It should be supported atleast 6mon-1yr into the next system launch.
Without a doubt Wii had a horrible year. The only game purchased was Skyward Sword all year long. Even the Panasonic 3DO had more games released in it's final year.
...Atlus and NIS as niche dev's localization budget - if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be playing many of the awesome jrpgs. That author better never speak ill of them again!
They have been up for review for almost two weeks now.

Sign me up for the WiFi, I just can't see spending $25/2gig per month (AT&T's Ipad rates)...
Aww that means you never played this game, you should give it a try. Easy enough to pick up and play and complex enough for the hardcore vet.
I'm concerned about these ever increasing prices each Gen. Just look at the Vita - word has it they will cost $50ea (yeah it's $10-$50 but we know the real). What will happen with the next PS4 Xbox 720 $65 or $70 per? That's crack prices. I know it won't go back to $50 games but I do hope we slow down the price increases.
I don't care who is in it or the "review" scores. SC 1-4 have been fun as hell so I see no reason for 5 to be any less.
