Damn, my Sony 5.1 System must be ancient then... -_- Is 7.2 the new cool surround sound systems?
A lot of places dont support that bandwidth for 4k streaming...
If you have a nice system, you would use Optical... not HDMI lol
I buy physical, My nearest walmart was sold out and target had one copy left...
We know the GPU is 6+tflops vs 4.2tflops, the CPU we don't know on scorpio but pro is 8 core Jaguar @ 2.2ghz per core (vs 1.6 and 1.75ghz on PS4 and X1) but the real kicker here is RAM, which is VERY important for 4k gaming!
Not just 12gb... but 12gb @ 384gb/sec vs PS4 Pro's 8gb @ 197gb/sec. Most video's like Digital Foundry testing GPU's and 4k gaming usually almost always have to up-clock the RAM slightly on board.
Exactly! I was thinking this last night, I was looking at a drip loop on a power line when it attached to a house and thought to myself, most open world fps's don't even think about that, they just draw the line to the side and that is it... crazy!
Good review! Can't wait to dive into this tomorrow!
A lot of places in the world do not have the bandwidth to stream 4k... So having both is smart so the consumer can at least buy physical 4k content!
Because the Xbox One S has one @ $299 and I just don't see how the Pro does not, I mean it can't cost Sony too much at least it would be cheaper than MS purchase of the drives... it's Sony's Tech.
Damn! Those City shots look Amazing!
I think he means polygon count is still the same on both for car models (Which is the highest of any racing game) and I think you mean texture quality of the car models themselves which should be higher on PC. One thing that surprises me is the PC and X1 versions seem to have the same object draw distance which is strange lol
Did nobody see he confirmed the RAM Bandwidth, 12gb of 384gb/sec... O_O Holy Shit!
Strange title for the Header... He only complains about minute bugs that are "Day One Patch" fixable in most games in a few sentences at the end of the review. Can't wait to play this, the Demo is so fun!
Why would the X1 version have 4xMSAA @ 1080p and PS4 only have 2xMSAA @ 900p? I guess that is what suited best for each platform
Can this game come out already!? I have played the demo like 10 times lol. I wonder how big the map is compared to GTA V? I know it's 2x the size of Forza Horizon 2 but I think it would be cool to compare it to other games!
Troll lol
You are thinking of the Scorpio...
No not really... 8gb of RAM is 8gb of RAM, Memory extensive graphic settings like textures should be the same, the only difference is bandwidth. Example: Battlefield 4, when you get into a Jet or Heli cockpit, the PS4 cockpit will load textures faster than the Xbox one version even if the end result is the same texture resolution.
PC gamers know this, that will be a struggle for PS4 Pro as far as having better textures since they did not add any memory.
The GPU side seems like it can handle it, but the CPU 2.1ghz while an improvement over PS4's 1.6 and X1 1.75ghz per core, it is still laughable in the PC hardware world which you have i7's pushing close to 4ghz per core. Another thing to consider is RAM... Most 4k PC games require you to have between 12-16gb RAM to handle all the textures. You could take a PS4 game like Uncharted and run it at 4k @ 30 just fine with the graphic settings, but a true 4k game like on PC will have Texture...
Nice! I really hope they release Bad Company 2 after Battlefield 1 has been out a couple months...
