Being able to play PC games, playing games at super high graphic fidelity, etc. I mean, This is what "I" want, I just purchased a 55" Vizio 4k 240hz TV from sams for $600 so I would like to put it to use...
"Only 6tflops" lol, most 6tflop GPU's can support 4k easily, especially a custom GPU with 12gb unified 320gb/sec GDDR5. This is the new Polaris arch based off the new RX480 and the CPU is the new ZEN arch so I don't see what the problem would be?

Article is absent on up to date info... 12gb of GDDR5 @ 320+gb/sec, The 8 Core CPU is the new ZEN architecture and the 6TFLOP GPU is the Polaris Architecture... so YES the GPU will most likely outperform the GTX 1070 since it's the same tech as the new RX480 card from AMD and the CPU will have no problem supporting it...
Yeah because 1.34TFLOPS and 1.84TFLOPS is the same as 4.2TFLOPS and 6TFLOPS... lol not only that, NEO is rumored to have a slightly upgraded 8 core jaguar CPU and still 8gb RAM @ 180gb/sec while scorpio uses 14nm ZEN CPU and 12 gb RAM @ 320+gb/sec... but sure, they are close XD

I think MS put themselves in a good position. You have Sony who is the stronghold on exclusives and make people proud to own a PS4, Now MS is making the Scorpio PC and Xbox games, so more of a 3rd party machine (besides PS and Nintendo games) so they can control the PC/Xbox community as a whole and support a wide range of things. I don't think you have any idea how advanced this thing will be or the cost of hardware with that kind of power... MS and Sony made like $20-$30 profit per console sale, You can't even build a PC with ZEN right now, you can bet your azz it will be an expensive chip set for PC gamers

Because it's $299 has HDR, Upscales X1 games to 4k, has a 4k bluray player, Any game that uses dynamic resolution like Halo 5, DOOM, The Division, Fallout 4, etc. will be able to lock the game at 1080p with the upgraded CPU and GPU, games will have a more solid frame rate as well, etc. do I need to name more? I agree! I wanted a PS4 after watching their conference, it was Amazing! Although my most excited piece to take away from the show was X1 Scorpio for me, but Sony def had the better game conference for sure!
As an Xbox Fan, Honestly Sony had the better show for games, almost every game they showed i said "I'd play that" BUT... The Xbox Scorpio announcement with the specs and PC games being played on it really got me excited... Im a graphics whore, so I have been kinda bummed about lack of 1080p on most 3rd party titles compared to PS4, so now, 6tflops is HUGE as far as a jump in power... much greater than 360 to X1 imo, so Im very excited about that!
If they can deliver a platform that I can play PC and Xbox and 3rd party games on with VR, 4k, 60fps, etc. while making more PC like with Windows 10 while still keeping ease of use and not having to worry about Gaming PC problems for $600-$700 I will gladly buy their platform, it's easy really!
