I think the "PS3 fan takeover" was a result of two, going on three, years of the PS3 getting slam by pretty much every major site out there. The owners obviously had it , and are now fighting back. Is this a good thing? Probably not, but you can't really blame their reasons for doing so.
Me? I love visiting N4G for a good laugh. Some of the discussions that happen on N4G make my day. Its a love/hate relationship these days, I suppose.

I think there are many reasons to own a PS3. Many of these reasons existed since 2008, and to some, 2007. A game console is judged by the vast library of games at its disposal, and the variety that exist among that library.

This makes sense since the Wii is currently experiencing console saturation, as every person that wanted a Wii pretty much has one, and the sales bump is a result of the remaining consumers that were on the fence.
