OK...so is it just me, or does it seem like even the FF series is becoming a victim to the homogenizing of video games into one super genre where all you do is click a button and BOOM...you beat the game. I'm really starting to become afraid that sooner rather than later, we won't have anything but simple games that a 4 year old can beat...I mean come on...a jrpg in which you can't even control the character?!?!?!

Honestly if a new generation did come out, I wouldn't buy it yet! It seems as though there have been fewer games released this gen (dev costs) to warrant a new system. I say let this gen go on for 2 or three more years and then release a "next" gen, I want to enjoy what I have for a little while longer, not feel pressured into buying the next big thing.

Look at games like rage! They had to pretty much kill the free roaming and break it up into sections so that the 360 versions could more easily handle the data (a la multiple disks). Exclusives are usually better because they cater to the specific benefits of a particular console. Multiplats usually have to cater to the lowest common denominator and thus usually suffer!

I agree, the vastly underdeveloped plot and hours between any kind of story advancement really hindered the game. I felt like i was playing world of warcraft more than a FF game. I really hope the actualy game matches the hype for 13 or I will have lost all the rest of the little faith I still have in Square Enix!!!
Exactly, I hate how people hear the word radiation and are instantly turned off.
We should start interchanging light for radiation or heat for radiation as they are the same thing...next thing you know, people will start throwing away flashlights and heaters in the winter time, lol!!!
While I'm sure that they will sell more than 1.3 million copies, I wonder if Squeenix isn't intentionally creating a limited supply to start off as to raise demand and hype! Given this is true, they would have to be really confident that the game really is THAT good!!
In defense, ND did say they threw around ideas with Bungie and that they love interacting with other dev companies...
I know this is exactly how people are afraid to have their food irraidated because it has the letters radiate in it. People are kinda funny; they may not know anything about a subject matter, but will still find ways to not let themselves live better, lol!

And for the people afraid of the radiation that will be given off. I've always thought we should be more afraid of the constant man made radiation thats running through us. If we could somehow visualize all the energy from radio, micro, cell, infrared, wireless, etc...I think it would be hard to even see US at all, lol!
I totally agree with you too..and that's the point! We can't really know what's going on when you leave out the biggest retailers in the business. Does anyone know what percentage of the console market Wal-Mart actually sells? I just think we should have better articles than this, but that's just me...very inaccurate!

This is exciting!!! WTG Naughty Dog, you deserve this! I'm glad they gave this to U2 and not MW2. Don't get me wrong, MW2 was a good game, but didn't really push graphics or gameplay! I was afraid GOTY would equate into "game that sold the most copies". Thank god it didn't though!
