@Lighning Mr. Bubbles

I know what you mean, I think the point Magog was making is that it's really not something that should incite people to the point of "outrage". Disappointed or even upset...sure. But outrage is a bit of an excessive word choice for this.

Exactly!!! "Outrage" is reserved for acts of intentional racism against you, someone committing a violent crime against your family, your country and home being invaded, etc. A video game being released as "digital only" is more of a passing inconvenience at most for those who would be bothered by it.

@mkis007 source?

@crazycoconuts...To me it sounds like they are going after the more long term profit from games as a service as opposed to the single player games which typically see sales decline RELATIVELY quickly after release. I could be wrong but I think live service games offer a fairly consistent cash infusion over a steady period of time.

This sucks thought....I live for good single player games :(

I gave it a shot and have.been playing it a ton lately on ps5 PSPlus. It's actually a lot of fun. They have added NPCs and settlements and quests and items and....theist goes on. The items and blueprints you find to build your home base and furnish it is really drawing me in. If you actually go into this game without bias it can be extremely entertaining.

@Just_Lookin...there's a big difference between the the Nazis and the other things you listed. By saying pro British or Pro France I can't tell if youre referring to the country as a whole or specific times in their history like colonial England or revolutionary France. If it's the former, comparing a politic movement against an entire country really isn't apples to apples. Secondly, while you're absolutely right that a lot of course tries have had bad examples in their ...

Just like Bungie and Halo. Bungie made Halo for Microsoft then became independent and was bought by Sony. Sony owns Bungie but cant touch Halo.

So I have a 2021 Samsung AU8000 which is included in this...Can anyone confirm if Games Pass is live yet? I looked for it last night but couldn't find anything :(

@Lio...To be honest my friend...69.99 today is only around $40 in 2000's dollar time. I mean we can't honestly expect for EVERYTHING to cost more and more over the years but still expect developers to make ever better games and still charge the same right?

This will blow your mind...in 1982 a new Atari game cost 39.99 which in 2022 dollars would be.....$126.25!!!

Games aren't that expensive lol

@Rambo....how are you getting screwed over? You're getting a free update to a game that was arguably GOTY. Not everything has to make us angry my friend :)

Why is no one talking about the inflationary history of the US dollar. Yes games used to cost less, but so did everything else. You can look at this two ways: 1) Games today cost 69.99 which, adjusted for inflation, would be around $38 in 2000...still cheaper than when games cost 49.99. Alternatively, you can look at inflation in the other direction 2) In 2000 new games cost 49.99 which adjusting for inflation, would be around $86 today...Still cheaper than the 69.99 we are paying now. ...

Why is this even a thing? The original voice actor wanted way more money than the studio was prepared to give, they couldn't come to an agreement so they went for someone else...Am I getting the main point of this? Seems like a pretty typical business decision if you ask me.

Easy now Soulrakk, games always seem to come off of subscription services like Games Pass, Stadia, and Luna. Give it a few days and I'm sure we will see the new October games :)

Siren was actually the first digital game I bought when I purchased a PS3 several years ago. I was a little disappointed to see that it was on the new PS Plus service but that I would have to buy it again OR pay for the premium plan...Kinda sucks...
