I would like to elaborate on your comment about casual gamers. All the money that the casual audience brings into gaming also goes into hardcore games. It's silly to bash the Wii or Microsoft(for paying for DLC and other so called money hatting)for that matter, for bringing more money into gaming.

....they are a double edge sword. If they succeed then yes they are the lifeblood, but If they fail they just become an hemorrhaging artery. Considering that very few new IPs are hugely successful it's not hard to see why most publishers, including Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft, are pumping out sequels.

ShadowRun is still one of the most fun and balanced games on 360. If they would have just ditched the license and named it anything else it might have done better.
The 360 has been $399 over that period. Besides all these PS3s are purchased as BluRay players judging by PS3 game sales. Especially exclusive game sales. Ouch! So there still won't be anybody playing games on PSN:The place for introverts and the socially inept.

More evidence that it is indeed the PoS3.
Sony thought they were going to dominate this gen. and force developers to learn their proprietary architecture. That didn't happen and so now there is much less incentive for publishers to give developers the additional resources required for PS3 development. This is compounded by the fact that attach rates for PS3 are relatively low and that It's main competitor has a higher attach rate and shares it's architecture with another popular platform in the PC.
