Your having a bad dream.
Madden gets coverge like this every year so..um..ok
Seriously though, b4 I ever heard about 3 red rings I realized this thing put out a lot of heat, so I modded my entertainment center with a small hole and a duct out the back to get the heat out of the confined space. Of course being in HVAC in Phoenix,AZ. I understand the importance of heat removal well. (109 degrees 47% humidity outside today. Feels good in my house at 72 deg.)
Just like PS2 it'll take 7 years to unlock the power of PS3. Now that's engineering.
Epic said UT3 is running better on PS3 than Gears on 360 at the same point in development, not overall running better. All it means is they have had more time with their own engine and have optimised it to run better. @11.3 Real Gambler I wrote "decent looking game" not decent game, their is a difference. NO PS2 game LOOKS as good as a similar XBOX game. That is from day 1 not 2 or 3 years into the last gen cycle. We are not talking about gameplay here, which PS2 had some great game...
When it comes to ease of development it is a shame that they weren't thinking when they made their box!
Perfect chance to see if port blues works both ways. 1 disc, 2 discs, 5 discs, or DLC still get to play the game. Both may look better on 360 who knows?
To see if UT3 and Haze look better on 360, and if all the hyped games for '08 actually deliver.
So by 2013 we should see the power of the PS3. I'm not holding my breath.
I didn't have to wait for XBOX games to be better than PS2 games.
Sony didn't put bluray in for next(current) gen gaming. They did it to push their new movie format because they were tired of losing the format wars in movies. People seem to forget that Microsoft went to the major dev's and asked them what they needed in the next gen b4 it arrived. So it would seem the dev's didn't see the need for more storage at the time either.
but that's the dev's choice. I personally would make the second disc. SP disc1, MP disc2. that's the perfect solution to limited disc space.
No. It's just that multi-player games need to be bought close to release so you don't get owned, and their is a strong community to play with b4 they move on to the next big title. In most cases anyway. I hope dev's read this and get my point. Basically all single player only games are a wait for a price drop for me, since the experience will not change with the wait unlike multiplayer games.
Except they don't want to have multiple discs.
"that's just going to make your potential audience smaller" is the important part.
Multiple disc's will suffice. Thank you for your interest.
I had seven enemy's on sceen right near the end of the demo, so I don't know where your getting your info from.
Single player only, and a corridor crawler too! This is a wait for it to drop to $20 for me, or a rental if I decide I can't wait that long. I played the demo and it didn't do much for "ME".
I've never heard of this site, and anyone can say "I heard this guy say this or that". Where's the proof that these things were acctually said. May be true, but I'll wait to here it in a more credible place. If it is true, can you say 2 discs, 1 for SP, 1 for MP. It's been done b4. How about DLC the same day it's released for any maps that won't fit. I mean c'mon this isn't brain surgery.
Oh no your right! But America buys as many games as the rest of the world combined, so we matter more. Just kidding! Maybe!
