On topic: I'm glad I waited to buy a PS3 until they finished their controller redesign. All I need now is a $200 PS3 and I'll be set with a nice back catalog of cheap games. Sure hope PS3 sales tank and force a drop to $200 soon. I kind of want to play UC2 and Demon Souls.

Both 360 and PS3 improved their hardware sales 360 1% PS3 22%. The software gains are not in line with hardware gains. 360 +7% software. PS3 +17% software.
Don't software sales add more profit then hardware sales? Why yes, yes they do.
...even though PS3 hardware sales are up 22%, the software sales were only up 17%. When I compare that to 360 with hardware up only 1% yet software up 7% it sort of stands out.
Note: Software sales are from memory. The point I'm trying to make is PS3 software growth didn't match hardware growth while 360 software growth exceeded hardware growth.
I shall leave the speculation as to why to others.
That is a false statement. As is the notion that this site was ever anything other than a PS3 "aggressive supporter" haven. The only difference is the PS3 "supporters" are crawling out of the woodwork now that the PS3 "appears" to be crawling out of the basement. I don't have the time or care enough, to prove it, but it's a fact. Prove me wrong.
I hope sales tank and Sony are forced to drop the price to $200.
In the meantime, I have more games then I have time to finish on 360 so I can wait a long time to play the handful of exclusives I'm interested in on PS3.

All of the consoles have sold enough units to receive continued support from their manufacturers and third parties. Leaving Wii poor third party software sales aside.
All the sales numbers now are just ammunition for the fanboys, such as yourself, to flame over.
For the record, this site has NEVER been controlled by 360 fans. Easy to prove if I had time and cared enough. The ONLY difference between now and 2007 is then the PS3 fans didn't have a leg to stand on because the PS3 was an overpriced Bluray player with no games being worth the price tag. I still feel that way today at $300 and only two games I care about, pass. Unfortunately others looked at the possible future value of the PS3 and bought it anyway. An excellent shooter. One of my favorite games this generation. You never could tell who was on a PC without asking which I found surprising. Technology is probably not the major stumbling block preventing 360/PS3 cross play from happening.
One thing is for sure, if it happened, that would be the one PS3 game where every one would have a mic and the trash talk from both sides would be out of control.
