then I'll get psyched. My interest is definitely piqued though. If there are no lines in the previews like "maybe they can fix it by release" we should have another awesome game to play. That is if you own a 360 and didn't sell it just so you wouldn't have to deal with the warranty return hassle, in case it got RROD.lol
At least for ease in joining a competitive and lag free match(most of the time)Bungie got it right, and made sure more games were more enjoyable more often than random server picking ala Rainbow6 and others. I can't remember if Gears has matchmaking. Wow it's been a long time since I chainsawed someone. I think all online multiplayer games would benefit from matchmaking systems.
"The fact that lots of gamers are fanboys for a particular console is often irritating, but hardly surprising given the demographics. And fanboys are easy to ignore because they wear their biases on their sleeves.
Much more surprising to me is how much bias there seems to be among industry pundits and “experts”. It is often difficult to get thoughtful and objective analysis from the pundits covering this industry — many appear to be more interested in advocating for a part...
What does my creativity have to do with this game sucking. I won't be buying this game. It's all the morons who think they are creative and clever that do buy this game that will screw it up. Like you.
A 3D side scrolling game. Whoopee! Oh, you can build you own levels and import textures. Few people will spend the time it takes to build and test a decent level. Most of them will be stupid crap. Then there is the art style. People don't like Tim Burton style graphics in video games. Take Psychonauts, a great game with an art style that turned a lot of people off, including me. I see this as a niche game at best.
Probably not. Otherwise we would have them already. But that would be the way to go. We would have multiple sizes and price points. I'm guessing that would require MS to reveal too much about how the console works so it will not happen. Here's hoping.
More games(fact). Better games(opinion). And I don't drive my 360 to get to work. Does that satisfy your curiosity? Oh, and you seem to be the one forgeting about the good things in gaming, quality games, not quality and games. I put up with crap hardware for the quantity and quality of the games just like I did last gen with PS2.
The PS2 had a high failure rate with disc read errors. As with 360, no one knows exactly how high, but I had 2 fail within 5 months of purchase, and I know of 3 other people with similar expieriences. And not one of them was covered under any warranty. 120mil+ PS2's, many DRE replacements not paid for by Sony. Microsoft fixed my 360 18 months after I bought it. Why is MS getting so much crap for this when Sony, even after losing a class action law suit for yhe DRE's, seemed to skate by on a f...
Sharper picture, better color than my cousins 37" LCD.
The PS3 was supposed to blow away the 360 from day one of release according to Sony representatives. Just like the Xbox did last gen with all 3rd party games being equal or better than their PS2 counterparts, and Halo looking better than anything on PS2. 14 months into this gen and multiplats are still... well you know. Could Uncharted be the best looking game to date? Debatable. Could it take 7 years to get an outstanding looking PS3 game like God of war for PS2? Not likely, but possible. A ...
I didn't have to piece together my 360 with no warranty on anything but the parts themselves. Didn't have to install an OS, drivers, firmware, buy a $2000 dollar TV to be compatible with my computer. Or can you get one of those for $450 too?
Way more than double the cost of a 360 for specs comparable to a 360. Plus I'd bet your monitor is way smaller than your TV. 360 $400, 26" HDTV $450, mid-range surround sound system $350 Total: $1200. Similar PC setup with specs capable of running the games as well as the 360: $3500 plus downloading drivers and maximising settings and all the other tweaks to get the games running properly. Not to mention the kicked back on the couch vs. sitting in a chair. So I guess if you have a lot of...
There is a story, there is gameplay, there are gameplay mechanics, Whether or not any of the previously mentioned elements are any good or not, we're not telling. No opinions, just the facts. Double checking to see if I'm on N4G... I am! Anyway... in the first sentence of the fourth paragraph of the article the author wrote as if to indicate that this is a second hand account of the game. "The action in the game[is said to be]very casual and fun," Correction: There is at least one o...
Microsoft has good marketing and lots of cash and good relationships with developers that also make games for Microsofts other gaming platform, Windows. Also good dev tools. Unlike Sega who were short on cash for marketing, had poor dev relations and a difficult architecture to program for. Seems like night and day when you compare the two companies situations. If you read your own artiticles some of my points are acctually mentioned there.
I'm not stupid either. I don't buy things that I don't want, need or will not use. There are two PS3 games that I'm remotely interested in. Both short single player only games. Rentals at best. I'm sorry if that offends you. Two short games are not worth $600+ tax. Need BC since my sixth PS2 DREed on me two years ago. Won't get another. That's how I got a 360. That and Oblivion.360 is the second best cosole I've ever owned next to SNES in terms of quality and sheer fun of the games. It's Sony'...
Price is still too high for the game selection and game quality. I never watch movies, and I have a computer for all the other features that the PS3 has. So PS3 has nothing I want yet. Oh and MGS,FF,and GT do nothing for me so I wait for a $200 PS3 or that one game that I must play now. Still waiting!
If that were true you would have bought a 360, a PS3, and a Wii. You have bias but no malice towards other consoles.
my mind boggles more from the fact that Sony got a free ride for the PS2 DRE problems with NO extended warranty or any kind of real compensation to it's customers. Yet the PS2 went on to sell 120 million+(many of them DRE replacements). At least Microsoft fixed my 360 FOR FREE. 1.5 years after I bought it no less. Sony wouldn't fix 2 PS2s that were only 5 months old each! If it RRoD's again in the next 1.5 years I'm still covered. Inconvenient? Yes. Worth it for the great games? YES!!! Just l...
Epic and MS are still in discussion about mods on the 360. Epic's Mark Rein stated that they would at least release the best mods on live. Just not all of them. If it's like a lot of mods from past Unreal games, most will be anywhere from unbalanced to completely useless. So I'm not worried.
before some zealot starts proclaiming they are discontinuing the 360 and introducing the "720" next week. 3..2..1..go!
