Nintendo has always relied on it's first party offerings to keep themselves relevant. This is new territory for Sony as they have traditionally relied on third party software to move Playstations. Unlike Nintendo, they still have strong third party support. Which is good for them, since their first party titles are not as strong as Nintendos'.

Nice to see someone else aware that their opinion is uncalled for. I, too, feel the need to give my opinions when uncalled for. Only many times in a negative way, that as you may or may not be able to see has cost me a few bubbles. No point. Just an observation of the desire to voice ones opinion to possible opposition or agreement.
Quality is subjective. In my opinion, the quality of exclusive PS3 games is lacking in all areas except graphics. That is of course my opinion and not a popular one here on N4G. I must admit there are games that I feel I have missed out on. Just not enough to justify the price for me. Therefore my equation is
360 > PS3

With that pathetic list of garbage, it's a wonder the PS3 is still on the market. Out nearly three years already and only three games on that list that remotely interest me(the rest of the world too, looking at the sales numbers of most of these games). That's sad.

Giving indie dev's a chance to practice, even on a crap game, will produce better games later. Seems to be where Microsoft is headed with XNA. It would appear that Sony are only looking to line their pockets now and Microsoft are training the next generation of dev's to line their pockets later.
