And at the same time, if this website gave Killzone 3 a 7 or an 8, they would be dismissed as "looking for hits".
How do you know this is a good review? It's from a foreign website and has been poorly translated, so you've obviously based the quality of the review purely on the score. Now that's sad.
You obviously haven't played Halo 3 or Halo Reach if you think they are "hardly different".
Oh, and you obviously haven't played Killzone 3 either - cause its not out yet - so whose to say that this review isn't spot on?
Based on what?
People will highlight scores from the major websites (IGN, Gamespot, Game Trailers etc.), not nobody websites like this.
Cmon, after all the hype of Killzone 3 supposedly being better than this FPS and that FPS, the consensus of opinion has been pretty underwhelming.
Maybe this is a lesson in not blacklisting a website whenever they score a game below your expectations. They're not fanboys, intent on taking down your beloved console, they're game reviewers with opinions.
IGN gave Resistance 2 a 9.5
Spoken like a true fanboy.
Great score, but that's a 0.9 decrease in score from Killzone 2. What happened?
Honestly, I can understand some people seeing the 360 exclusive lineup as rather weak, but Gears 3 and Forza 4 are enough for me. Deus Ex 3, LA Noire, Ghost Recon, as well as the new FIFA and COD are all guaranteed purchases for me. That's 7 games already, and that's not even taking into account XBLA games and other possible spur of the moment purchases.
I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to end, but I can see why it didn't sell. 6 hour campaign and no multiplayer, XBLA games give you more value than that.
COD is in a league of its own at the moment. Even industry juggernaughts like Halo are playing catch up.
It's only because they're winning, if the shoe was on the other foot it would be exactly the same.
Maybe because 360 owners play games that last longer than 2 weeks.
"You cant deny most of the users on the 360 play almost strictly shooters"
What and the PS3 users don't? If Sony bothered to release weekly PSN activity then I bet shooters would make up the top 5.
Do you know all 50 million Xbox 360 owners?
Nah, better than Medal of Honor maybe.
My list:
1. WMD
2. Firing Range
3. Summit
4. Crisis
5. Jungle
6. Hanoi
7. Grid
8. Havana
9. Nuketown
10. Array
11. Launch
12. Villa
13. Radiation
14. Cracked
"All COD games are fun for the short term"
I guess you haven't tried zombies and wager matches.
A gap of 3 million is irrelevant at this point, it has been more or less the same for a while now. What matters is that all 3 console manufacturers have been successful this generation. Obviously the Wii is the runaway winner, but for the 360 and the PS3 to reach 50 million in sales is a fantastic achievement.
