Let's not beat around the bush here, people have actually gone off Crysis 2 because the demo is only coming to the 360.

Games that have been far more buggy than Black Ops have never been reported. Plus I have a feeling that developers will be protected over issues like this.
The cost of the disc, case and booklet should all be stripped away from the downloadable version, and yet it works out more expensive?
I remember the retail version of GT5 Prologue being cheaper than the downloadable version as well.

Isn't Fallout New Vegas a reskinned Fallout 3? Isn't Assassin's Creed Brotherhood a reskinned Assassin's Creed 2? And do you criticise people for buying those games? Of course you don't, because as usual CoD gets singled out.

Call of Duty needs to change it up if it's to remain popular. Modern Warfare 3 is inevitable (if not already confirmed), but they can't just keep churning out yearly installments forever.
The 360 version is getting all the DLC first apparently if that's any help.

All the decent-looking ones are from indie companies. Shame that they won't get much exposure.
This is the problem with people and Black Ops, they play a few games of team deathmatch and they think they've played it all. Wager matches are such an awesome addition, gun game being my personal favourite, as you're pretty much putting your money where your mouth is and testing your ability with a variety of weapons. People seem to have ignored this game mode, and it's a tremendous shame.
Reasons 1 and 3 seem to sum you up perfectly mate.
I think the series does need to reinvent itself, hopefully under new developers that will be the case.

What's even funnier is that, in a Gears of War article, you would interpret GOW as standing for God of War. I mean seriously, switch on.
They are using dedicated servers as opposed to P2P in Gears 3, so multiplayer should be fine.
Sorry mate but Gears set the bar for third-person shooters this gen, not Uncharted.
