Dude, what kind of weird ass shop do you get your balloons from?? lol
Jack Thompson and his supporters do more damage to the Right than a thousand Bill O'Reillys.
The terrifying thing is that there is a certain element of society that takes this guy seriously...
It's kind of cool in a bio-horror kind of way. Would add to the atmosphere while playing Doom 3 anyway. :P
Heh. Is it sick that I kind of want one of these?
They were using something called 'personification' to make a point. It's something that writers with more than an iota of imagination do.
"Face it, people had bought multiple 360s only because they would lose all the money they invested in games."
This. The only reason people stick with X360 is their game collection. Its the same with DVD vs Blu-ray - Blu-ray is obviously better, but who wants to build up their movie collection from scratch?
Heh. I'm with you ddog4840. The Xbox in the letter sounds like a jealous girlfriend. She knows the competition has left her for dead.
Heh. I giggled a bit. 'Huge racks' link was funny.
"Now I need to buy this game for the breasts?
seriously they think us gamers are so immature???"
Story went from 0 to 180 degrees in an hour -- sounds like they know what they're doin'!
Another point worth making: because Halo 3 ODST is a 'prestige' title, it kind of HAS to be full price. If it wasn't, it would cheapen the reputation of the whole franchise. (i.e. - could you imagine Brad Pitt starring in a direct-to-DVD film? It would never happen.)
Halo is a golden goose - and golden geese cost a pretty penny.
Actually, as the article points out, the single-player campaign in ODST is quite different to previous Halo games. So it's NOT the same formula.
Dude, have you even played it? I reckon you're being way too harsh. Fine, so it's not 'Halo 4' - but Bungie never claimed it was going to be. IMHO, it's definitely in the Top 10% of action games.
I dunno. 'PlayStation' sounds pretty raunchy to me...
"*reading a little further* what games cost $120 for the PS3?"
Tis an Aussie site, innit.
Am I the only one who thinks the article isn't flamebait or biased?? It offers some buying advice to people who are considering trading in their Xbox 360 for a PS3 Slim -- why is this controversial?
As the article clearly states: "In an ideal world, everyone would own a PS3 Slim and an Xbox 360 — thus having the best of both worlds. ...Unfortunately, we don’t live in an ideal world. A lot of us can only afford one console per generation — if we want something new, we have to trade in our current machine."
The article gives reasons to keep the x360 and reasons to trade it in. It presents both sides of the story -- what's wrong with that? And Xbox Live IS better than the PSN, but I agree, the article should have explained why.
Er, what's your beef? It lists reasons to keep the Xbox 360 and reasons to trade it in for a PS3 -- it's not biased towards either console.
doctorstrange just made me vomit in my mouth a little.
