'Bout bloody time we got a fair shake.
See above for an explanation. ;o)
"And SotC.....um what the hell?"
See below for an explanation. ;)
"only good thing about bioshock boss is that it had alot of heatlh"
Er, isn't that a *bad* thing?
The list was revised and rewritten, hence its resubmission.
I agree SoC was an abstract choice, but if you read the accompanying text it explains why the colossi were chosen: the author didn't like being made to feel bad for killing enemies in a game.
"but they don't take credit for the creation of motion controls"
Well, they said they're flattered by the 3D motion wand and Project Natal - isn't that kind of taking credit for it?
Yep, I completely agree that Project Natal owes a lot to the Eye Toy. But Nintendo are claiming to be 'flattered' by it - not cool.
SL1M DADDY:
unless, of course, MS and Sony decide to emulate the Wii's success and go all kiddy and casual too. Which as the article points out, is slowly starting to happen.
Yeah, but as you said youself, the NES had a bunch of games that fell under the 'hardcore' umbrella. Nearly 90% of Wii and DS games are family-friendly rubbish. It's a whole different kettle of fish.
"No they didn't kill hardcore gaming, gamers are still served by Microsoft&Sony."
You're right, but for how long? The Wii and DS have been such runaway success stories, that MS and Sony would be made not to copy them in the next generation of consoles. So bye-bye hardcore gaming.
So you're denouncing the story without even reading it? You should join a Christian lobby group or something.
Interesting you should mention MadWorld. As mentioned in the article (the one you neglected to read) MadWorld's sales have been much lower than expected. Most of the other games you mentioned are sequels with preinstalled fanbases. I'm not scare-mongering - there's a definite shift going on in the gaming landscape. So ner.
If you click on the Tech tab, there are currently TWO pirates on the Hot Stories banner! This is awesome. We need to make it a trifecta - someone post another story with a pirate image - quick!
Yeah, piracy's definitely bad news. Imagine if everyone in the world tried to get their crap for free - there would be no more movies, no more music and no more video games. The more people who do it, the most the industry suffers.
Remember when the horse died in Never Ending Story? Or Bambi's mum? It might have served the story, but it still SUCKED. (In a depressing way, I mean).
I agree. Plus, they usually look painted on, especially Jinpachi's devil mouth.
The bosses in Shadow of the Colossus were indeed awesome, but a game shouldn't make you feel bad for winning. So ner.
Tell me about it. Cheating git.
That rumour went around my school too! Of course, I had an Amiga which didn't have a hard drive, so it was impossible for my computer to get a virus. Was a good urban legend though.
I always thought it was "of a lamb's tail"? lol
