I mean, unless they are going to release a patch to allow a PSP based control scheme, you can't fully play the game like this. It's a great idea, but without motion controls (or a suitable replacement for the PSP)it's largely novelty. Still damn cool tho.

This is from a recent Game Informer interview:
GI: Are you planning on making a big splash at TGS?

Kim: I don’t know. I don’t know about any third-party announcements that are being lined up there. I wouldn’t know right now, anyway.

GI: I meant first party.

Kim: No, not really. For us, again, I think you’re going to see the same messaging that we have at E3, which for us in Japan is about bringing our other content, our Western content, to J...

I don't think Heavy Rain or Tekken 6 are coming out this year are they? Anyway, to add to the list: SOCOM: Confrontation, Wipeout HD, Eye of Judgement, Singstar, Pain.

Also, probably Echochrome and PixlJunk Racers.

The arguement of PC vs PS3 is petty, different markets, different interfaces (usually), different strengths and weaknesses. PS3 is a console, PC is a computer, as much as I'd like to play Heavenly Sword on my PC, but can't, which is why I have my PS3. I'd like to play Mount & Blade on my PS3, but can't, which is why I have my PC. Different products, different pros and cons, can we let this arguement die?

If any argument needs to be made for PS3 in favor of PC, which is w...

This is actually one of my most anticipated games. 7 player twitch racing? Gaming goodness ahoy.

but aren't we all just big kids anyway? :)

The game is fun and challenging, plus the soundtrack is pretty cool too.

Wipeout HD, GT5 Prologue, Eye of Judgement, Folklore, Hot Shots Golf 5, Time Crisis 4.

Wow, that's a lot of games. I've rarely seen them compiled at once.
Hopefully Echo Chrome and PixelJunk Racers both get released sometime this year.

I play both GT and F1PS3 without a HUD. It's not like you need it, just listen for the revs and learn the track. It's really fun actually. Just my two cents. GO GT5 GO!

I'm glad to see you admit your error, that's reassuring on these boards. No disrespect intended, just being honest.

We aren't in on all of the information, and while there could be very good reasons for them to abandon red ring repairs, we don't know what those reasons are. you asked a good question, they're hired to fix broken boxes, so why would they stop if that's their business? Perhaps they were inundated with repairs and they were simply overwhelmed. It would then stand to reason why they would stop servicing those issues but won't stop repairing other 360 issues. The likelihood of them stopping ...

If it was a small problem, why would they stop fixing it?

"(the) problem is endemic on the XBox 360 console and the volume has made this repair non-viable."

Endemic - –adjective Also, en•dem•i•cal. 1. Natural to or characteristic of a specific people or place; native; indigenous

They seem to be saying the problem is a characteristic (not a good one) of the 360. It seems that they believe the problem is apparent in all 360s, or at least...

A bit tough at the start, but well worth it. Too bad this is so similar, I played the hell out of Flatout 2 and really would have liked to see a true sequel on the 360 (and PS3). I don't want to play 60 bucks for a game I already have, and graphics just aren't that important.

It can be owned or pwned. The only reason people type pwned is because back in the day people would try to type "owned" too fast and instead type "pwned".

"But then again, what would a lemming know about online lingo."
Indeed.

This reminds me of the ol' Sierra and Lucasarts adventure games. Al Lowe and Roberta Williams might have to get in on some of this action.

VF, as a series, is very hardcore, and the level of challenge within the game is quite substantial. If you're a big DOA or Namco fighter fan, this probably will frustrate you, as combos and counters are very difficult to pull off until you know a truckload about both your character and your opponent. Some folks are f'in amazing at it right out the gate, but the vast majority will give up because a lot of the gameplay isn't on the surface.

If you do stick with it, be prepare...

"I guess most here wants plastic made heroes with pectoral implants and shiny teeth."

Is that what Sam was in the first three games?

VF is not DOA. It's damn precise and not something that can handle lag very well. DOA is an decent game but precision isn't as necessary for a good match. VF demands absolute precision. If they add MP, it'll probably be fun to try out, but nothing a serious VF player could rely on to be precise. Basically, if everything in VF is tournament quality, the online would have to be too, and Sega has said before they're not sure if they can do it without compromising the gameplay.

It wasn't about the 360, it was about Microsoft.
