Piracy hurts the industry and in turn hurts us. It's often defended because people get free stuff. That it can benefit an individual is not a worthwhile enough reason to commit a crime.
The individual more than likely won't get caught, meaning it's even more acceptable to commit the crime, but even if you're never caught it can still hurt the industry.
Draconian DRM isn't helping, but it's mostly in place because piracy is such a...
The first trailer bit is choppy and looks kinda poor. But the second half of live gameplay looked really good. Plus the clan stuff sounded really cool.
They learned from planetside, this can't be all bad.
There has to be more to this tech then what we've seen.

This is good to see, people having fun. I don't know why you need a game to dance with your friends to music from the 90's, but hey, why not.
Wonderful, more potential for piracy. Get a job, buy games legit. Used games are pretty easy to come by, even on the internet.
That's even more amazing than the first one. I wonder what else the Japan studio has been up to.
Impressive. Motorcycle + wheelie + chainsaw = flaming chainsaw! Awesome. The man is clearly in his element.
Hello Stand Up.
It's still early. I'm sure they'll solve this. They knelt down in the Forza demo and it worked fine.
With all they have behind it, and all they have riding on it, there has to be some misunderstanding. We need more info, because this is just staggering if true.
It'll still sell well tho.
I loved the original Ghost Recon on PC. I have found them to be less and less original as time played on. Now, it's this.
Visually, quite nice. Sound seems solid. Stealth looks...like another Tom Clancy game. I'll check the demo, but this is so far from GR1 and so similar to so many other shooters I'm not holding out much hope.
You can tell, look at 1:50 and you'll see the footage glitch backwards a second just before the dad jumps in. It doesn't seem like it's a video error, nothing else in the scene does that. Strange, but I suppose they had to do it for the type of presentation they're going for.
Ouch. They did not like their entertainment for this evening.
I like the fact that it takes some getting used to to properly play. Not that Wii doesn't, but this seems challenging in it's own way.
It's got to start sometime, and remember, it's only going to get cheaper, not more expensive.
Gears isn't underground or unknown. Gears gets millions in marketing and sells very well. Epic isn't a small-time dev, and Gears doesn't need to keep some stupid rep.
The character art looks like Luda anyway, I was actually expecting some rapper to be named. It just happened to be Drake. Who, by the way, is actually a good actor. Gears wins on this one I think.
Gears 2 had it's own soft drink. That's Final Fantasy level marketing gim...
Microsoft is making the big play against Wii. For now it's really not aimed at the traditional male gamer market, we might be able to benefit from Natal next year in a more meaningful gameplay fashion.
Microsoft has laid out a pretty clear intent to push for kids and women as the major thrust of Natal. That means fun, families and ease of use. That's casual in my book, and it's where Wii lives. We can talk Sony VS MS, but I think MS is looking to "finish ...
I'm sure the RPG elements are still there. If it isn't then it's going to be a game like Planetside. If that were the case, be happy, Planetside rocked. :)
Really? Because for the last 3 weeks, I've been hearing about games from Sony. That sounds like marketing. The hints at Natal and the informative bits about Gears and Reach are proper marketing.
Just saying that Dude Huge and Greenburg probably didn't intend for their comments to become "news", and I'm sure either of them would rather have had that much energy focused on their current slate of games and not Halo3. That said, if it made folks go buy ...
Natal is casual focused, I doubt we'll see much hardcore stuff for it. Maybe some sports games, if you consider them proper. I'm sure they'll give a nod to the core gamers at E3, but I wouldn't expect AW or Halo to use it.
Maybe Forza, they've showed that Burnout driving demo a lot last year. who knows
Are you worried because women shouldn't be around videogames? :P
Or are you worried because of how Microsoft is positioning Natal?
That was disappointing. You'd think of all companies Squeenix would be able to be better than this. Hopefully it's fun, cause there isn't much else to go on right now.
