Please tell me you're kidding. It's obviously real-time and very much gameplay. Unless you're referring to the Kratos face in the menu, which isn't gameplay, but it very much real-time. Just go download the demo, we'll wait for you.
Maybe 20 is too steep, but perhaps they can drop the price down as the game comes down in price.
I'd rather they do this and continue to make games (if it's too steep on top of the used price, just buy new) then give up altogether. DRM is a difficult issue, but hopefully gamers and gamemakers can find some middle ground.
We need to make cheaper games to sell cheaper games. We don't need more high end games that will never turn a profit. Devs/Pubs are going to ha...
MS aren't fools. They know they have a tough time selling JPRGs, but this is Final Fantasy. They know they can sell games, and they hope to do just that.
Aren't the Warhawk and Socom communities still going along fairly well too? I can usually find a Warhawk game, and can always find a Socom game.
Having played the demo and seen the trailers. This game is going to be one helluva blowout.
The sound seems amazing. Can't wait to hear this in 5.1!
Consider this guys, we're not cool when we're jumping around playing plastic instruments, so why is this different?
:)
It certainly speaks to something different then the usual game ads. Considering how many people treat their console choice like their penis, it's really quite appropriate.
Mine is big, black and sleek. Heavy too. :)
How about I agree with you for no particular reason?
:)
"and something thats really bothering me is, sony doesnt mention killzone 2 in thier interviews about upcoming games anymore......hmmmm it makes me wonder."
I wouldn't worry, I doubt it's exclusion is anything more than simply not listing the entire 08 slate. Considering the lineup for this year, it's not surprising he didn't mention all of them (even the heavy hitters).
Can't wait. The Gamersyde HD videos from last week were better, but this game looks great regardless.
Since you liked the demo, I say you should pick it up. I know I'll be playing GT5P alongside the rest of the slate for 08 while I wait for GT5 proper.
This article is referring to gambling style gaming. Like Vegas and the like. Not home gaming.
Bits like....
"Aristocrat, the world's second biggest poker machine maker, has products and services that are found in more than 90 countries, and it is looking to expand."
and
"The number of gaming machines in North America is expected to increase from its current base of 750,000 machines to about one million machines in the next five y...
No disrespect meant to any involved, but that was a very poor article.
The marketing, it'll be huge!
The next thing that will make people take notice is likely one of these things...
Little Big Planet: it's different, it's cute, it's got a ton of potential.
Wii Fit: it's part of the wii family, it's innovative, and it's a good way to further define the Wii as a different type of console.
Home: It's different enough from XBL to raise a few eyebrows, and if Sony plays it's cards right and can mobilize various industries (clothing, music, movies, etc) arou...
I think the answer for a lot of people is Gears 2. I believe it's marketing could match or exceed Halo 3 in many ways. Granted, I think the article is foolishly focused on hype and even then it's relegated to 360 and PC.
I think Sony Nintendo and Microsoft have plans to make 2008 another damn fine year in gaming, and if this guy can't see anything beyond Spore and Halo I'm wondering where he's looking.
"6.4 -
Portal was good. But it wasnt that good.
The game was praised for being Unique & quirky, but its not as good as Lair, Folklore or HS."
While I appreciate what Portal is doing and I am a fan of Valve games, I do feel that it's overrated. Plus, I loved Lair and finding others that use it as an example of a game that's better than Portal is rare. :)
Huh, okay.
"For example Peter Molyneux said it taken supercomputers 3 weeks to processor all the visuals for Fable 2, the Xbox 360 previews all the visuals when free-roaming the map but its pre-render."
So what games aren't pre-rendered? Naturally people have to make the toys we play with, but there is a difference between bullshots or properly defined pre-rendered graphics and what we consider runtime or real time graphics.
Shaders and the rest don'...
