Iwata is not just anyone person!
They seem to be on the right track. Sony has doubled its full-year profit forecasts up from $201 million to $403 million. Seems that their playstation and financial arms are doing the serious business.
Recheck those so called facts. PS3 has been outselling the Xbox in worldwide sales, only region where it's not but followed closely by the ps3 is the US. As for going bankrupt, not anytime soon, Sony recently posted a $403million profit and psn plus is proving to be quite a good subcription for the playstation brand.
Next time if you're trying to be biased try harder and check some facts.
MS must have lots of money from all those users that had to buy...
And in the next 6 months Sony will release the last of us, beyond two souls, puppeteer, tales of xillia, Disgaea D2, dragon's crown, the guided fox paradox, the witch and the hundred knights, and HD versions of kingdom hearts and ffx and x-2.
And by the way it wasn't only in the last 6 months Gow Ascension, there is also the super excellent ni no kuni, sly cooper, and guacamelee.
There is a great variety of games right there. And no doubt MS also has ...
Here we go again another muppet comparing what their PC's are capable of. You know what consoles are? Cost effect hardware to play games on. Most sane gamers are not going to spend hundreds just for one component when they can get a whole system for the same price. Why don't you just compare a GeForce Titan to a snes while you're at it!
Oh, and last I checked Sony was selling more than MS overall. Also MS had a head start with the 360 and still the PS3 has outsold...
$99 for the next Xbox, that's probably that xbox mini thing, which is probably different from the 720. I think there is no way in hell the official next-gen system will be selling at $99.
Nintendo should host a presentation, even by Nintendo's standards they have acknowledged that the Wii U isn't selling as well as they hoped. Compare all other consoles over the same period as much as you like with like-for-like sales, but things are never certain.
The market has changed a lot, and if they think Nintendo isn't worried then you're sorely mistaken, because with the release of the PS4 and Next Xbox to be announced they really need to have some kil...
That's true. I am one that will always choose a game on it's overall quality, rather than just visuals. But graphical boundaries are always going to be pushed forward and it's the first thing lots of people will look at. Especially with next-gen. If the game looks the same as current or last-gen, then why even progress.
Square must have shit for brains. Releasing sequels to FF13 that people dont really care about. But when the fans are literally begging for type-0 they do nothing.
Take all the time you need Kojima-san. Keep up the fine Metal Gear pedigree. I shall be waiting with anticipation!
So true. MS better pull out some new IPs for the Nextbox. I don't think relying on just another Halo, Forza or Gears will be enough. They need more variety! And kinect games don't count if they plan on attracting core gamers!
Nobody said gaikai was going to be free. It was a very expensive investment. My guess is general online play will remain free with ps4, psn plus remaining as it is and gaikai subscription based. My tier based.
Gaikai will be a massive bonus, trying games on the fly before buying or even needing to download a few gb of data is a massive selling point.
If you honestly think they have nothing to fear in the states then you're sorely misguided. Just because they are selling more in the states doesn't mean their competitors are far behind. Being complacent is never a good thing!
This will give EA some ideas!
Spoilt gamer! No sense in progression or achievement. I guess it's people like you that micro transactions are made for. Buy all the lastest and fastest things so you can dominate from the get go!
Dungeon Hunter 4 had so much potential, then about 30 minutes in you realise the micotransactions shoved in your face every loading screen and the difficultly spike if you don't use crystals to buy better items. Gameloft = pay to win!
I think everyone knows Sony was in trouble and still in murky water, that is WHY they sold what they needed to turn the company around, and it seems to be paying off.
Selling off their New York Headquarters was a smart move. They bought the building for $236 million and sold it for $1.1 billion.
Regardless of all the haters, Sony is changing their strategy, not onnly on the playstation front with PSN+ attracting lots of gamers, but in most of their markets an...
Another generic keyboard warrior!
Wrong, it does. Graphical fidelity plays a major part in developing for next gen systems. Along with innovation.
Sony posted their financial earning recently. Seems to be on the upside. But they still need to sort out their struggling divisions. Mostly their finance and playstation arms are doing well.
