MS tried to make this DRM crap possible. They likely approached publishers. Not the other way around. Why? Because they got away with pay to play! They thought they had a new money maker in DRM.
You now see what MS will do. You can't blindly ignore it any longer. They will abuse you after the install based gets large enough. They will abandon you near the end of xbones life cycle. They very likely will eventually shut...
I like trophy hunting. But I'm not going to kill myself trying to get them. They add value by giving one a reason to do things in game that you may never bother to or thought of.
Example: grid 2 "shakin' not stirred" flip your car 7x and land on your wheels.....just like Bond did.
I'd never try to do it if trophies didn't exist. Had fun trying and that's that.

And Sony 1st party won't have online passes. (PsPlus handles that)
What I see happening is Sony 1st party sales will be even stronger. So third party will not want to be too harsh with their DRM. Single player games will not be an issue for this reason especially.

My GameStop in Toronto had 22 xbones sold out....and ps4 they had no limit!
Which means likely that they weren't told by their regional manager or something.
But I got it done nice and early within an hour of being open.
Though I'd preorder ASAP- these quantities will increase in the coming months. No way a retailer is only selling 22 or 30 consoles in the holiday window.
