What this silliness about digital freedom to play your games anywhere! Please.
games this coming gen will be mostly HUGE! I'll be stunned if BF4 or KZ: Shadowfall aren't pushing 15-30GBs! How are you going to go to a friends and play this game? Oh...you call ahead say a day to prep for it...cool. But reality is that I don't know what the heck I'm doing tomorrow half the time! LOL
Play it from the cloud...streaming to your glorious Xbone!
This article is actually interesting - but very flawed. I applaud the effort though. If only MS had hired this guy to prep their PR. lol
Seriously though, I think pubs and their employees the devs are far more devious than we give them credit. Imagine say Actibitch was to make a COD quality game in every genre each year. (forget the fact we know it's rehashed tedium....reality is they sell extremely well, and that because people buy them)
The ecosystem wo...
I wonder....if this is how the decline of freedoms starts. Lol
Not by some evil dictatorship exerting its influence - but by consumers willing to forget the transgressions their fav products were going to impose; suddenly thwarted by the strength of those willing to fight for all our rights!
Kinda same speech we give our slutty daughters - "your worth more than this! Hold yourself to a higher standard" - applies to how we should look at big corps &a...
I'd get Xbone....
......a world where I wake to soft music chosen by kinect. My cell rings - it's kinect telling me my friends are playing halo....oh sweet user come - play Xbone! Your glorious future awaits!
Alas, I waken. The light is bright. My ankles hurt as equally as my eyes. The booming voice has no empathy. It, like its creator is heartless and malevolent. It prys at me - sharing my secrets to those who've paid handsomely to Kinect's father. ...
Resistance 3 was excellent!
Marketing and fps fatigue is my theory on why it didn't do much better.
Bought full game. Played it for two weeks straight. It's fun tps. It lacks substance and story is paper thin.
But it plays well, has no connectivity issues, requires some strategy and teamwork.
It's a 7/10......but there's tons of other options and I'd recommend it at $19....not the $60 I paid.
I recently bought army of two cartel & dead space 3....I guess now after reading above I'll probably return both. Lol
I like the cut of your jib!
But your examples almost without exception are all requirements of existence in today's society.
Gaming is a luxury. So we can afford to hold these corps to a higher standard.
Monsanto modified seeds is harder to be aware of. Because we eat what we eat at the cost we can afford. But we can't just NOT eat.
In fact your only example that is not a requirement of existence for the general western con...
This is the crux that most defenders if Xbone don't take time to understand.
Some of us don't buy used games or rent games via redbox or whatever.
Some of us sell our games to supplement buying new (I fall into this category).
Some if us trade with friends or burrow from friends.
Thing is - all of these issues fall under the "first-sale dictrine". And by giving up the above you give up your rights of own...
Playing as a dog would fuking rule!
Enhanced stealth and lower profile. And just have you experience several instances of horror. Doesn't have to be an action super fighting dog! Lol
Just roaming. Looking for food and seeing humanity killing itself.
Littlest Hobo meets I am legend.
Even though Sony patented tech on Blu-ray Discs for DRM.....doesn't mean they were going to implement it.
And big corps are generally heartless and shady...but I feel that Sony truly wasn't going to do DRM.
But Sony isn't the issue. It's MS trustworthiness. And they have none.
Seeing through walls lasts 4secs. And then recharges. It's tactical...not broken.
Price, 1st party games taking too long to come out, third party abandonment.
And that tablet wannabe controller....
I can seriously see this next gen when the big boys are in the schoolyard; that this will be Ninny's darkest hour.
But with their reserves and handhelds still doing well....they'll survive.
But I think they are no longer relevant to core gamers. Core these days play tons of mp online gaming. That just...
Very distant 3rd.
AC3 was disappointing. I was certain I was done with AC games.
But, I find I enjoy the mp so much I can't stay away!
Pirates is also an excellent theme that lends itself well to exploration and the hunger for loot.
I'm likely going to get this. And thank devs that you know who is dead and done!
Still a spybox though isn't it.
It's our duty as consumers that actually care to inform. And never forget.
People think they won't change to DRM later after the install base is locked in.
Well I got news for you. The ToS has everything they need to do whatever that want. And with the new inclusion of not allowing class actions to be taken....it's almost ironclad protected.
If they want - they just have to add new "infinite power of the cloud" functions requiring you to accept a updated ToS. And if you don't you lose any connectivity. Boom. ...
Oh come on? Really? It couldn't be more obvious!
Here I'll make it do even xbots can comprehend.
Competition & Consumers were at polar opposite standing than Xbox Ones...yet MS defended it for days! Major Nelson just days ago was stating that MS wasn't going to change their policies.
Your a lost cause.
If I called you an asshat ....then rescinded it. What's that saying about me?
MS should not garner any goodwill from this.
And there's nothing stopping them from re-trying after gamers are locked in.
Here's some facts some might not consider:
-Sony forced this every bit as much as we gamers did.
-US proposed bill banning spybox tech killed this too. Though it hasn't passed yet - MS couldn't risk the mas...
Pubs want the future to be that you have a licence to play their games. Buying a game is not same as owning the data on the disc. It's an issue....because when you trade a game it's value is 100% (unless some form of DRM is in place)
This hampers sales.
If you add value to a game by virtue of it's awesomeness - this will help stop trades of that game. But many gamers are fickle and just want to play the latest games. They will still trade.
