What Microsoft won't say is that the mastermind behind this fiasco is now the CEO at Zinga... The Hitler of gaming... I know, I said it....
Would have made a good twilight zone episode...
@ huf
If that's your only complaint against Sony is to pay to play online, then I'd say they did a very good job at giving gamers what they asked for without backtracking on anything. Maybe a question you should ask Microsoft is why live had a price increase without adding any more features and why the family plan got axed. Pure GREED...
I think it's more about what they tried to do, then realized people wouldn't buy it. So they have been in damage control ever since.
Shouldn't you be busy playing all of the 360 AAA exclusives that came out this year. With so many to play I don't know where you find the time to post here...
So you were one of the people happy with MIcrosofts first announcement and went right out and preordered it after E3 expecting what they announced is what you'll get right. Fast forward 2 months and what's left of their original unveil? The blackest black, TV and the power of the cloud (lol). I find it funny that all the first supporters and now relieved with all the recent changes their making to Xbox one. One last question: How many times have Sony changed anything since its F...
You are probably right...
100.00 price difference is a BIG deal...
Lower the price to 399.00. This is the final 180 they need...
Maybe they wouldn't have had to check off a list of consumer complaints after the revile if they asked consumers what they were expecting out of the next Xbox. Microsoft has been telling people what they want lately and having to backtrack on most of it because of low preorder or sales numbers. Their change of heart might excite you but it should have never been that anti consumer to begin with...
I'm still waiting for the big "Zune One" announcement.
Only digitally downloaded games...
MS says anyone on your xbone can play your digitally downloaded games and use all the features under your gold membership and logged in under their own account. But what im not hearing anything about is physical software. I bet you have to log in under your own gold account to play online.
Someone should have told Microsoft that. With one or two first party 360 games this year, that's not what I call supporting your fan base.
Check your junk mail. That's where I finally found mine.
Btw the beta is 5 days ( aug 1,4,6 ,8 and the 11th ) from 7pm-12am EST
You know why Sony has yet to backtrack on any thing they've announced. Because they listened to the gamers, publishers and developers. See when you don't dictate but instead facilitate, you will be rewarded by consumers.
How soon you forget MIcrosofts plan A didn't include what gamers wanted, but later did a 180 after seeing Sonys E3 announcements. If they were testing the waters ( your words ) you should have noticed they were standing in a cesspool. Sony caught MS with their pants down in Feb and have yet to pull them back up....
@battletoad
Really? You might want to do a little more research on what each console will do out of the box without paying for anything else....
Thanks for the backup GraveLord
So what does that 600 dollars let you do without a Live subscription? Just a simple question....
Has the Xbox one passed its FCC certification yet? With the U.S. being the Xboxs home turf, wouldn't you expect the certification already? Hard to start mass producing a product without all your ducks in a row. With 3 months to launch , time doesn't seem to be on their side.
