I highly doubt they will come out with their own console. Apple tv bundled with the controller will sell like hot cakes.
iPads or iPhones streaming game content to apple tv. Using a controller to play these $1 - $6 games on your TV definatley shake things up in the gaming world. If they make a deal with Sonys gaikai service they will be a major player in low cost gaming. Only time will tell.
Metal gear 4 and resistance fall of man had no real colors but they still hold up to today's games with colors.
I've been saying for a long time that there needs to be a governing body (something like ESRB) to protect the consumer. Nothing worse than buying a new game that doesn't work. Then you wait for a patch to fix the game, that sometimes makes the game even more unplayable. This gen has produced more games that don't work on day 1. Don't forget the Motorola vs. Microsoft decision will be sometime in August. If Microsoft is unable to sell xboxs in the US then Sony probably won't lower the price of the PS3. Microsoft might also have another antitrust suit in Europe for IE. Bend over Microsoft.
