Yes and it would give them a huge advantage. I would be proud of Nintendo. I've made a few comments along these lines today. Would Nintendo dare invest outside the box with expensive risks? hope so.
Monthly subscriptions to a library of games instead of purchasing games individually in economic hardship. Not much though :p
They would buy it to own what comes along with it, like certain patents and tech/staff If they did.
Netflix is more likely to buy them then MSFT in my opinion. They were suppose to have a gaming offering a year ago(discs in the mail)
EDIT
I've been waiting from promised games offerings from Netflix for a year. It's smarter for them to remove the middle men(console makers)
Acquisitions purchases patents companies want ...
A subscription based streamed gaming platform would be of interest of a number of companies including MSFT.
My guesses based on funds, know how and infrastructure(server farms etc)
Netflix
MSFT
Google
If MSFT did buy it they would do it in the lines of owning patents and then keeping the necessary tech and employees combined with their own professionals and tech. Much like 3DV Systems(Project Natal) and many others.
...
What kind of load or volume capabilities does Nintendo servers have? And how many?
I think only Google and a few others have as many (high tech) server farms so you could be right.
Good lord this game looks good.
If Nintendo did I can see them winning back much of their core gamers that have moved on to MSFT and Sony. They just need to work around their competition having strong business partners and the fact Nintendo not owning or investing in markets outside of the gaming industry heavily. If Nintendo can partner with a strong software partner they could work around the issue.
A few new mature hardcore franchises with Solid online and Nintendo would rule the way they did in the past...
That may be so but he left out key features gamers care about the most out of the joke. They could have downplayed them in the article. Gamers care about the unified features and that could have been downplayed in the joke to make people's opnions seem like nonsense, like what they're trying to do with opinions or consensus of the two services over all.
The joke was generic and more about hits than comedy
Examples of what should have been in there... ...
Not good balancing then?
Let the service provider wars begin starting next gen. No contest for 360 on consoles this gen.
Apple TV in production but the Next gen XBL on the 720 will triumph over what Apple and Samsung will bring.
The other console makers won't even come close next gen.
Mainly software companies will be in competition over the living room.
Samsung is getting good with infrastructure and services for a hardware company taking notes from the...
For most, it will be about everything as consumers expect devices to do more adding value to very expensive pieces of tech. It's all about offerings all around. Even TV makers and AV Receiver makers know this to be true and they know they lose marketshare without adding other capabilities.
You're basically saying if a Cellphone is clear with a decent plan, nothing else matters to consumers when it comes to phones in this day and age.
Have you guys bee...
#1 Borrow MSFT's approach
#2 Adopt MSFT's approach
#3 Copy MSFT's approach
A huge Kinect jump in tech and the 720 doubling as a set top box for cable providers make it hard for any company to match MSFT's built in head start with support from many industries.
Next Gen will be about which company is more capable of providing an *all in one* *multi media* *own the living room* strategy.
The Sony...
Riding Giant Mechs? Hope I seen that right! A mission on that giant truck while it's moving would be epic. Love the darker yet still halo art style. Looks like Halo Wars art direction which is the best look of all halo's.
Yummm even Wolfkill's hair is hot.
I think calling out other people's grammar on the web is pretty much a bad idea. Web linguo, translation, your language not being others 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Fried brain from being connected so long after an event etc all factor in on, what you call bad grammar.
720 launch game. MSFT doesn't announce games years before they're ready unless something big changed their plans(usually a year at most)
If that's what you want to tell yourself. I based my comment on my 46" 1080p LED.
I see how it works. They are the same if the PS3 version falls in a close second. The other way around the 360 was worse. 98% close isn't allowed? Once past 95% they are the same here on N4G?
Here's the cloth for your Sony goggles and loosen the head strap so some oxygen to your Brain.
Insulting people for adding to the topic. LoL
Just a little bit more detail and sharper image in the 360 version. Not surprising it's close though the game isn't that taxing or visually demanding. PS3 has some muddier textures and missing lighting or textures(can't tell if the ice effects/gloss are baked in or not)
LOL at the Tie votes.
EDIT
And PS3 votes.

Those games you're talking about are mostly linear, static QTE games sometimes with fixed camera design.
I was talking about games that show the true difference with more complex design that take true power to run them. Games like Crysis 2, GTA4/5, Sleeping Dogs, Rage, Skyrim, Watch Dogs, Forza Horizon/4 Talking bigger and more open games with more features and mutli player games that are more taxing.
There are multiplatform games th...
Saying PS3 will get more hits due to the false myth that the PS3 is the most powerful. Obviously aimed at ps fanboys being upset with the alteration of what was said.
Back to sleeping dogs ;)
You sound like this news will allow you to sleep better tonight lol
