Please could you post a link to a CONFIRMED source that says that the next gen XBOX will not be able to play Blu-ray movies?
It will be marketed as an entertainment device and games are a form on entertainment.
I don't know why you are getting disagrees T900 because you are right.
Maybe because they were never apprached by Microsoft? Just a taught.
I say TV ads for the game on SKY1 and others yesterday. Online portals like Youtube etc all have commercials. So just because you have not seen any, does not mean that the game is not being advertised.
I can only speak for myself but my launch 360 spent its first 16 months in Nigeria and it was played average of 6 - 12 hours everyday. Coupled with the scorching sun and it never had a problem apart from the fact that it sounded like a Boeing 747 about to take-off.
It spent another 12 months in the UK before it died so i think that throws you theory out the window.
I was a huge fan of fighting games during SNES, PS1 and PS2 era. In fact, the lack of a good fighting game is the reason i never owned the N64 or any other Nintendo console after the SNES.
Then i used to play it with a boat load of friends. favorites were, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Killer Instinct, Dead or Alive 3, Soul Blade/Caliber 1,2,3, Battle Arena Toshinden 2, tekken 3, Rival Schools, Kensei and Bloody Roar.
This gen has meant a lot of solo play because we h...
I still got my launch 360 purchased December 2005 and i got RROD once and that was in April 2008. I got a Slim that i purchased 16 months ago and then gave my old unit to my nieces and they have had no problem. Maybe i am just lucky.
Way over 7 years that I have been in this gen and I am already tired. After Mass Effect 3, I was basically done. Looking forward to seeing what new gaming experiences that next gen will bring.
No problem Munky. Have a good day
The 360 Slim has the same internals and plays the exact same games as the previous 360 so it was a smart move. And Ballmer never said they will release products as soon as they are announced. What he said is that they will release products not too long after they have been announced ie Windows Phone 8 and Surface were released 3 - 4 months after they were unveiled.
The same will go for the next Xbox. Announce sometime E3 then release in time for the fall season.
That will be marketing suicide. You need to give 3rd parties enough time to hype and market their products and services that will be on your system.
Favorite games of all time are all story driven games. If a games story is excellent, i can excuse the gameplay is if is clunky like say Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect 1. Same for gameplay like Gears of War. Great gameplay but fairly week story but still like the series.
But no matter how gorgeous a game is, if the story is not good then i wont play it.
"So if Sony offers up that better than MS, I'm in for it. However, I do not want a dedicated gaming device. I want a well rounded device that hopefully can replace my living room PC"
Well said. I can not in anyway buy a console that all it does is play games. I have a job, a good social life and very active so never really have the time to dedicate to games like i used to. But i want my gaming device to be an all round entertainment system. One i can play games ...
Such a shame. I really enjoyed it.
PS4 to take market share from an console that nobody knows anything about besides rumor and has yet to be announced publicly. LOL
This weekend, i wanted to buy Halo 4 on Games on Demand. On seeing the price, the first thing that came to mind was, why dosent Microsoft sell three versions of the game? 1st is single player only,2nd will be multiplayer only and 3rd would be the complete game.
The reason i taught of this is because all i want to do is play the freaking campaign because i don't care about the multiplayer aspect of most games.
So on that note, i completely disagree with Cr...
I agree. I don't own a PS3 but instead of getting it now, i am going to buy a PS4. The beginning of a new consoles life is usually low in titles so will use PS4 streaming service to catch-up on PS3 games like Uncharted and God of War.
In my opinion, i see no benefit at all for a publisher or console maker to block used games. DLC arrived this gen and is here to stay and blocking used games will drastically reduce their revenue from DLC. I believe online passes will become more common because it is a better option for publishers while still keeping retailers happy.
Not this again?
