What kind of problems are you having with the SP? I'm about halfway through it, and I think it's pretty decent. I mean, it's nothing to write home about, but I like the firefights. MP is so much fun. It's competitive and tactical. I love the weapon customization and different classes.
Oh, you must be one of the little kiddies that is screaming "GOTY!!!". I don't have a problem with the 9.8 IGN gave Halo 4, or the countless other perfect scores the game has gotten in the last day or so. I have an issue with how the review read when compared to other reviews, and it sounded like one big advertisement. If you haven't noticed, IGN has a tendency to do this, but judging by your last comment you may have trouble understanding the big words that I am using. You ...
I read the review on the website and watched the video review, and both were a little embarrassing to watch, not very professional either. I learned a long time ago to take reviews with a grain of salt, especially IGN's. I thought GameInformer and GameSpot had better reviews. It's hilarious to see all the kiddies start screaming "GOTY!!!" and "The Chief is Back!!!" in the comments of IGN's review, when no one has played this but the Press. Halo 4 currently has ...
I had a blast playing MP and SP last night. I really have no idea what the negative reviews are talking about. The only things I could pick apart are that the MP graphics could look better, and the MP menus are a little confusing at first. Other than that, it's a fun game.
Right now the Press and 343 developers have access to the multiplayer. I read GameInformer's review, and they also had a video on their website of some of the guys playing multiplayer, presumably against some of the developers because they were getting their asses kicked pretty bad.
Yeah, I'm really interested in what Respawn is cooking up. I don't think any news has been released yet, but I'm excited to see what they'll come up with. I'm still surprised those guys went back to EA, they must have signed one hell of a contract.
Sorry, but for some people games don't have to be better than others to justify a purchase or to be considered fun. I loved games like Heavenly Sword or Castlevania LOS, but in many reviewers' and gamers' opinions those games didn't do anything better when compared to God of War. Still loved them though. Have you even played any of the COD campaigns? I have, several times over for trophies and achievements, and those aren't lacking motivation and are not considered stereot...
I was watching this game pretty closely and read several reviews when they finally hit. I was surprised by some people really defending it, so I had to try it for myself. I didn't think the game warranted the lows scores it received, but I did just try out the multiplayer. I thought it was fun, liked the buddy concept, and bought it. People can trash this game all they want, but how many people have actually played it and given it a chance? It's pretty obvious reviews can't entire...
I played the multiplayer last night, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The game is by no means perfect, but I think most reviews are too harsh. Ordered it on Amazon, so it should be here by the weekend. Also need a competent buddy for PS3!!!
So, played an hour of multiplayer and gotta say I had a good time. Graphics were decent, gameplay was smooth, hit detection was good. Liked the buddy system, it allows you to resupply ammo and gain back health at a faster rate. Gunplay was fun. This game doesn't change any formulas, but then again, it doesn't need to. I think the reviews are a little harsh, but no use worrying about it. Not bad, Danger Close, not bad.
His comments are always the first ones for the MOH reviews. He constantly spews the same crap, too. If the game is bad, I could see commenting about it on a few reviews, but not EVERY review. It's like he gets a kick out of the low scores. I think he wanted the game to be reviewed poorly.
All of these negative reviews really clash with what some gamers are saying. So, I'm going to find out for myself. Downloading a 1-hour trial as we speak. From what I've seen of the game, it looks like fun. I'll see if I like it.
No point in trying to use rational thought, some of these people are determined to lynch some reviewers. They're probably making their way over to Mitch's home right now with pitchforks and torches.
Good reviews are a plus. My first pair was Turtle Beach's X41, which were pretty average. I've got the Astro A40s right now, best headset I've owned so far.
Some of these comments are hilarious! People are getting completely bent out of shape because a game they bought and enjoy playing is receiving low scores. So what! Are these reviews going to force you to enjoy the game any less? Reviews are opinions, and yes, sometimes they are paid opinions, get over it. This is nothing new. Isn't the only thing that really matters is whether or not you like playing the game? I like many games that didn't receive great scores, and I also like games ...
I don't see MS dropping the price for LIVE anytime soon, or allowing multiplayer to be free. It's still way too early to know for sure. I wish next-gen would just get here already.
What are the reviews like?
Love stories like this one. I can start my day off with a good laugh. What a bunch of habitual liars. There must be some major alcohol abuse going on at EA.
This is not even remotely fair. Frank Jaeger is a great Metal Gear character. Maybe the cyborg ninja skin will be dlc or something. Geez Konami, I've only wanted to play as this character since freakin' 1998. That figure looks awesome, too.
I remember playing Metroid Prime my freshman year of college. Actually neglected a lot of homework because of that game. Probably my favorite GameCube game. Hopefully we see something Metroid-related on the Wii U, 3D or 2D.
