This thing is essentially a box for watching Netflix. That isn't a bad thing. There's a huge market for the casual gamer who watches Netflix.
To those saying this isn't enough, this model isn't for you.
Of course no Wii U. They want to make money.
How is that bad?
They have no vision for their console. They say one thing today and then go back on their word the next. It's a sign of weakness and no confidence in your product.
You said it yourself, Microsoft is REACTING. That's never good.
Sony is sitting in their office meditating and having coffee and while Microsoft is shitting their pants trying to fix this mess of a console.
It's a good question. One one hand, if they do show Kinect stuff at Gamescom, the core will bitch and moan about how they're being abandoned. On the other hand, if they don't show that stuff, they'll complain about getting a useless add-on that they'll never use.
Microsoft has no one to blame but themselves. They put themselves in this position where they just can't win. I say just get a plan, stick to it and ignore the whining.
Microsoft has no idea what they're doing with the Xbox One. It's trying to have its feet in all areas but it keeps tripping over itself since it only has 2 feet.
Entertainment, Hardcore Gaming, Casual Gaming, Motion Control Gaming. Pick one and stick to it. Get your shit together.
Well this chart would include Gamestop and Best Buy so I'm betting the numbers wouldn't be much different.
Sales are split across current and next-gen consoles. It's kinda messy.
This is Battlefields chance to finally dethrone Call of Duty.
This is actually the week that the Amazon bundles(also Gamestop?) went back in stock. So this is an anomaly.
Looking at total pre-orders though, that's pretty scary for Microsoft. I don't see not one Xbox One exclusive on the chart. I thought the Xbox One had better exclusives so far? Why aren't people pre-ordering them? Hell, even Call of Duty is selling better on Playstation 4. Killzone: Shadowfall is doing amazing as well. Damn the PS4 is going to have an amazi...
They're including PC Gaming a whole. That incluces MMOs like World of Warcraft and even free to play games like League of Legends.
So yeah, it is possible PC revenue is more than Xbox and Playstation combined, but then again Nvidia doesn't have access to PSN and XBL sales which shouldn't be ignored. They're probably only counting retail...
Nvidia needs to get off hits high-horse console bashing attitude.
If you count MMOs and stuff, yeah, not surprising.
Yep. I'd like to see some gameplay.
LOL.
What else would they have focused on? It's a controller..
Every little bit of useless info makes the news now. How annoying.
What's the value in a $100 premium for a console that is 40% weaker in the graphics department alone?
$100 is a lot of money to most people. It's the difference between buying an extra game or controller.
The thing about value bundles is that they're supposed to be optional, not forced. Would you buy a PS3 with 10 AAA FPS games, even if you prefer Action Adventure? I mean, its great value and only $100 more expensive!
"The thing we all understood, and hence this change, is that there are some scenarios where people just may not be comfortable. We wanted people to be 100% comfortable, so we allow the sensor to be unplugged. And clearly the “it dropped” scenario is possible. "
They barely figured this out? I mean serious, how out of touch can you be with your consumers? Just give people an option to buy the console without Kinect already. You're going to cave in eventually. No ...
Virtual Reality? Really? Come On....
Nothing good can come from forcing things on people.
If you didn't like or weren't interested in Kinect for Xbox 360, there's no reason why you would want Kinect for Xbox One.
Kinect isn't the future of technology, its the past. Motion Controls are old news. They are a huge gimmick. Just because the new Kinect is accurate, it doesn't mean it'll be any better. Ever heard of Playstati...
Taking VgChartz estiamates:
God of War Collection: ~2.5million
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection: ~2.15million
The ICO & Shadow Of The Collosus Collection: ~1million
Jack & Daxter Collection: 0.58million
Sly Collection: 0.51million
Devil May Cry Collection: 0.56million
I think I've proved my point.
I like the idea of arcade titles hitting retail at an affordable price. This can bring indie type games into the public eye.
Name me 1 M-rated title that sold well on Nintendo platforms. Hell, name me one M-rated franchise that is exclusive on Nintendo platforms.
I have a feeling there are very few, if any.
'The “failure of the week” trophy belongs to Yakuza 1 & 2 HD for Wii U, that was released on August the 8th, and not only failed to make the top 10, but it doesn’t even appear in the top 20."
It's not surprising. It's an M-rated title on a Nintendo platform. Bound to fail. You didn't even need a crystal ball to figure that one out.
Some FIFA DLC. Money well spent....
