The difference here is that Sony has had 250 and 500GB models out there forever. This 12GB isn't for "The digital age" its for the occasional Call of Duty player and Netflix viewer.

They shouldn't have invested so much in Kinect to begin with. The software attach ratio for Kinect is very very low. It's clear gamers don't care for it.
As an optional multimedia voice control/gesture box, its not worth the asking price.
