The "slow" thing is probably because it just went live. It will get faster in the next few days, if it doesn't Sony already said they are planning monthly updates.

Playstation Mobile is for the more casual gamer. It's a bunch of time-wasters. It's not a place for real games, or PS1/PS2/PSP ports. That's what the Playstation Store is for.

EDIT: Like other people are saying, if you were smart you would have gotten Playstation Plus to back up all your saves to the cloud. It's weird how you can play so many Playstation games and not be subscribed to Playstation Plus....
New PS3 is to increase profits for Sony, while adding value for consumers(many bundles this holiday for every type of gamer).
A price cut isn't necessary. No matter how much Sony cuts the price, people will still buy the 360 in America because their friends have it. This late into the generation, marketshare is irrelevant. As long as the PS3 is still competitive(which it is) we have nothing to worry about.

There was maintenance last night, I don't know why though since the store doesn't update till next week in the US. Maybe they're also doing some improvement to the network?
Did Microsoft ever care about gamers to begin with? With XBox its all about making money with subscription fee after subscription fee....and do I even need to mention how they're exploiting their once great franchises like Fable and once great studios like Rare.

The specs aren't really that impressive and Nintendo knows that. It's all about the controller.(amazing piece of tech BTW.)
All Vita games are "gimped" compared to their console counterparts. But compared to their 3DS counterparts? Vita wins by a mile.
Sony could always drop the PS3 price on Wii U launch. I don't think a price drop would do TOO much though. The reason 360 is winning in America is brand awareness and word of mouth, not price.
