Nintendo doesn't care about hardcore gamers. But they do want them to buy a Wii U, that's why they are trying to get 3rd party support for the Wii U.
They're off to a good start so far IMO.
There's enough core titles at launch to satisfy any core gamer.
Different PSN stores per region allows Sony to cater to the needs of each region.
" There's a definite window that you need to hit and that's where we are right now. From a Nintendo perspective, this is great because this is the first time you can play in HD. Visually it's as good."
More realistic? As Good? Which is it? You contradict yourself in the same article.
True.
A game like Call of Duty will never be playable on a tablet or phone. At least not competitively.
OMG OMG!
Definitely getting this game now!
It is true though. Wii is already selling very, very little per month all over the world compared to PS3 and 360. For reference, the PS3 and Wii came out the same month and the PS3 is nowhere near death.
The Wii U will be the nail in the coffin. I think its overdue though. It's a miracle the Wii lasted this long in a time where HD is the new SD.
Who?
"It was interesting to see their reaction not only to the new book peripheral but also the PlayStation 3, which they hadn’t seen up close before."
HUH!?
Sounds like The Last Of Us.
Anywho, this is only on PC so I'm not interested.
Why would they do this kind of trailer for the playstation store? Besides WE ALREADY KNOW ABOUT IT! This is a TEASER for something. It's obviously Playstation All-Stars related so I'm guessing its a new character reveal.
If not, then its just a continuation of the ad campagin from last year. It was extremely successful.(11 million+ views on Youtube)
Who uses Facebook or Twitter on a console? Seems pretty stupid. If you're like me, you share your console with your family and friends...so if you don't care about your privacy, and you don't mind people updating your status for you, have fun....
A game doesn't have to be innovative to be fun.
Besides, they never said Black Ops was super innovative. So why does it say that Treyearch is "coming clean"? They're phrasing it like a confession or something.
Speculation? No. More like an educated guess based on research and what we've seen from Microsoft in the past few years.
They are moving away from the core, and focusing on the casual. It's funny because this is the opposite of what Sony is doing right now.
It's also the day that Playstation All-Stars beta goes public.
Duke Nukem Forever 2.0.
The 30 second load time was due to the it being within the first hours of launch. Go on it now and you'll see its much, much faster than the old one.
All their games have received poor reviews. I think its a good thing that mediocre devs are getting pushed away from the boxed, $60 retail game. Their games don't sell anyway so they are just releasing shovelware.
Hopefully Call of Duty on Vita takes off, and makes them reconsider.(kinda weird Activision let such an unknown dev handle a Call of Duty game....)
You forgot LittleBigPlanet, Gran Turismo and many others.
What about Microsoft? The only real heavy online-focuses successful franchise is Halo(which is in decline due to Call of Duty) and Gears of War, which people get bored of quickly(reference: Xbox Live weekly activity charts)
No.
Retail will never go away although it will decline.
Look at Call of Duty..it breaks sales records each and every year.
"maybe they were right"?
Is this Kotaku journalist not smart enough to look at the weekly Media Create charts? Resident Evil 6 is extremely successful in Japan.
In the US and Europe its selling below RE5 though.
