Played Basketball video games in quite a while, lost interest. But MJ on the cover is awesome. He remains the GOAT as far as I'm concerned, the most clutch performer I've witnessed. And his influence on the game continues to this day with all the current top league players.

Also, to those talking about graphics, they are relative to the system they are on, that's how its always been. If not, then PS360 games would never get over an 8 because compared to PC, they get blown out the water and Wii would never get higher than a 4 lol. But again, what kind of gamers are you? Graphics don't make a game.

While IGN is far from a credible source when it comes to gaming news and reviews for me (I like GT's reviews better) I have to ask, why a Wii game getting a 10 from IGN causes such an uproar, but when a PS3/360 game gets a 10 its because the game is "the greatest everz" gimme a break.

The first one on 64 was a riot. A virtual board game. Instead of Wii Party, nintendo should do another Mario Party and kick it up a notch, online would be a good start lol.

That it seems many of these former console devs went to chase 'prestige' and got away from actually making fun content filled games and instead decided to try and outdo disney pixar in the cgi department.
I think a reset is in order. Many console devs that went HD this gen really bet the farm on a rather expensive gimmick. PC guys have had HD graphics for a decade at least, that doesn't impress them. Which is why PC gamers generally love the Wii.
Sequels are hard to measure. Sometimes the sequels don't sell as well as the original other times it outsells the original. I'd be more inclined to think it'd sell less. But I'd love to be wrong.
They are marketing this well, but the real trick is in the actual content of the game. It looks like its opening week in Japan might outdo the first also, so we'll see. I may be wrong in the long run.

Mean just the launch numbers in the UK, then it may be possible. But no way is it going to sell as much as Mario Kart or NSMB has or will. I think it will still sell over 7m when its all said and done.
But I can care less though, because all I care about is getting my one copy lol.
LoL. It only had a couple days at retail for the April NPD and just barely missed the top ten. This is a Monster Hunter game, too. Which means historically the games have been very Japan centric and struggled to find an audience in the west. Evidence of this is the PSP MH game not doing so hot there.
Capcom made a good call for this one.
29/50 are games on a Nintendo platform. Plus I'm just amazed at the legs these Wii games have. Brawl is still on the charts? Mario Kart? NSMB is creeping up on the all time best selling games lists in Japan (and WW. Incredible.

Its hard to bear some times. Simply because of how ridiculous it all is. Back in the day (SNES days lol) I remember gamers used to talk about what games were better for the time, not rooting for certain companies. I was an SNES guy, but my neighbor had Genesis and we'd play Sonic 2 all day! or Streets of Rage or altered beast. And on SNES we had Super Metroid, DKC, Super Street Fighter 2 house tournaments haha, good times.
That's why Wii is so popular and in a leagu...
