I've been thinking the same thing. It amazes me how people want to spin a company making over 2B$ as being a negative.
I mean ok, I get it profits dropped, but a company making such astronomical profits only has one place to go lol.
But I didn't think it quite surpassed M64. This one though, I feel will. I also believe it will be better than the first one. And the first one was a joy to play.
The Wii in general will go down in history much like the NES. People will all talk in retrospect, how great a system was and how loved it was. But we'll know the truth behind it all.
We'll know just how butt hurt the industry was that Wii became the best selling console of the gen (and perhaps ever)how thirds b!tched and moaned about their crap selling like crap.
People should look into the archives and get the truth behind how the NES really was ...

I am so tempted to cop one. I may do it when I buy my new Samsung LED. People talk Wii HD. If you've played Metroid Prime 3, Galaxy, MH3, Brawl on a quality LED w/ component cables, then you've really seen what Wii can do, and why a Wii Hd isn't needed.
Admit. I loved the first game, but I felt it fell a smidgen short on surpassing Mario 64. But This one looks like a more spiritual sequel to 64 than the first Galaxy. While I thougt I had my fill of 3-d Mario for the gen, I was very wrong.

Something that folks should note. With the big games released in March for HD consoles, Wii still outsold them quite handily with no new game releases and after 4 months NSMB Wii is still shifting nearly half a million units in the states alone.
What I'm saying is that the industry has become even more sequel centered this gen than ever before. Maybe its due to dev costs rising or what.
If anything it shows that the 'industry' is a one trick pony.
Back to being the top game this week? That's insane the game released in December!
