In order to abandon something you have to have had to have supported it first.
In other words, you can't abandon something you never really supported.
Game of the show. Cannot wait for this.
Fucking sucks. Strictly a hater. So glad this shows bout to get cancelled ; )
Here. Blue Storm was good in its own right, but Wave Race 64 was and still is the better game. Classic.
Brother.
I also just want to reiterate that the NES had the same problems Wii had, in regards to third parties not wanting to fully come on board. The majority of the good third party NES support came in late of the consoles life. I feel the Wii will have a similar situation occur.
The parallels between the two consoles is quite incredible, if you aren't aware of the history. But if you are, it really is just a feeling of deja vu.
Yeah, the hate does get old, ...
X is gonna sell a shitload in Japan whether its on Wii or the 3DS. I'd imagine the game is well underway for Wii since it was announced 2 yrs ago?
I'd also wager, that 3DS will probably be the home to DQXI though.
And I must say I agree with the majority of it. However, the only thing that I'd interject would be that even back then Nintendo was bashed for being kiddy, bashed for being a fad, and being a generation behind the computers at those times. The author touched on these parts, but I just want to emphasize just how similar the two generations are.
Wii is this gens NES.
Also, I too believe the Nintendo bashing is old hat now. It is pretty desperate looki...
It's sad. Some even try to say Nintendo and Sony 'tied' are you f*in kidding me? Sony's conference was almost as boring as M$'s.
This was Nintendo's year.
They really brought it this year. Showed so much diversity, and brought out the titles everyone's been wanting for so long.
Then they introduce a new incredible looking handheld system. It was a landslide. The gaming media was blown away by the Nintendo conference. Many people could barely stop talking about it while other conferences were going on.
The Lines don't lie. Looked very similar to E3 2006..The last time Nintendo Dominated E3.
What game isn't a 'shameless cash in'? What the hell does that even mean? There's been pent up demand for GoldenEye for quite some time now. It was the center of many a fanboy war between releasing the game on the VC or XBLA. Now a reimagining of the game is in the works, for the twice removed successor of the console the original game was on and its a cash in?
Please. This game here is for the old schoolers, and the new schoolers who never had a chance to p...
Here you are in the Wii news section.
He here, hated Motion controls 4 yrs ago, and hates them now. Regardless of the company name on the box.
Kudos.
Damn Right. Prime 3 was a masterpeice.
Any way, many of us already knew Motion Controls didnt suck. We've known this for 4 yrs now. What these articles show me is the ultimate in viral marketing. Basically, what it shows is that the same people calling Wii a fad and gimmick for the past 4yrs. Now have to backtrack and herd their sheep into believing their Motion Devices are worth an investment.
If it wasn't so blatanly obvious, it would be funnier...
Surprising in the least.
Aww, Cry me a river.
He knows what he's talking about Sidar. Not Iwata, the guy above us.
Iwata's reasoning is very much in line with other developers as well as the general consensus of the mainstream consumer. The games shown to support Move or Kinect, are either Wii copy cats, or an attempt to go after this mythified "casual gamer". After WSR, which released LAST YEAR, E3 this year just looked so been there done that.
Wii's out the box have the abilit...
Don't get this obsession with why some people want videogames to be considered art or not. I don't really give a damn myself lol. If the games fun its fun if not its not. There's certainly a craft to creating a great game and it requires many skills.
But you hit the nail on the head; videogames are interactive where movies or books or paintings, are not. Prime has beautiful art direction, muramasa, Twilight Princess, Shadow of the Colussus beautiful art directio...
Hey its N4G, it happens..you know that ;)But for me my game of the show was DKC. Seeing Retro take the reigns and staying true to the roots of the game keeping it 2d instead of making a 3d platformer in this tech age, was surprising and encouraging
It just looks so awesome and fun I can't wait to get it come December. Epic Yarn was also very unique looking, and also looks like fantastic fun. The 2d revival is in full effect, and I can't see how self proclaimed hardl...
Would be better served doing what they do best. And not trying to shoehorn Motion Controls onto their consoles. Their core demographic bought these systems because they stuck with the classical type controllers and games. Trying to become Wii like is only going to piss those fans off.
Additionally, add on tech has ALWAYS had a hard time catching on. And to be doing this this late in the game is really not the smartest move goign forward. Also they have to realize it wasn...
