MS has certainly put a dent in the sony indie hype machine. With over 250 indie devs coming on board the X1, there will be no shortage of indie content on the X1.
It would be great for sony to succeed in the VR space. VR has been around for decades so sony has to prove that their VR is worthwhile. VR is limited by what it can do in the gamespace, just like motion controls. It will be interesting to see if sony can produce some AAA content with the VR.
Well said. Console gaming is different than PC gaming. Its a choice someone makes, either console or pc? Console is more user friendly and generally costs less. While pc gaming offers higher performance. They are two very different things to buy into.
It is kind of disenheartening to see the Division come out before another RS. It could be Ubis replacement for the series. I hope not, would love to play a next-gen RS.
The X1 also plays great games. The X1 has a lot more functionality than the ps4. This is an advantage for the X1 not a disadvantage. The MS is also a software company and hey do software way better than sony. The X1s OS is far superior to the ps4s. Then you have features for the X1 on the software side that are just superior. People hate Kinect out of ignorance of what all the device can do. Or they are fanboys who just want something to rail on. I own an X1 and Kinect is a big part of what makes the console great. It not only gives voice control over your connected devices, but it comes with all the advantages a camera can bring. Skype is nice. The video editing in Upload Studio and Twitch are nice. I dare say most people would lose their hate for Kinect if they actually had some time with it.
Well one way they could see theirself heading towards dominance, is to market the X1 as an all in one device. In reality, the X1 offers more functionality than the ps4. Market all the advantages Kinect has for the X1 as well as the quality of the X1s OS, and video editing tools. Sony just cant compete with MS on the software front.
Kinect also allows me to control my entire entertainment center as simply as using my voice. Kinect allows me to put myself in a video using Upload Studio or Twitch. It also allows me to video chat with friends and family. Kinect is more than just motion controlled games.
VR has never caught on despite years of companies trying to get it going. Would like to see it in action now. John Carmack saying not to get your hopes up, is a bad sign. Who knows though until they try it, ya know.It could be amazing now. Will just have to wait and see.

GTA, Red Dead Redemtion both do this well. They could have a hit with WD. 35-40 hour game is worth a shot if it reviews decent.

Ryse is still the best looking game on the market. And its still too early for DX12 to be running games on he X1. So the power difference isn't as apparent as you would like to think. The only difference is the resolution on some games. You cant tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on any screens below 50 inches. So resolution only matter to some people. We all know dedicated servers cuts out things like host migration, modders and cheaters etc, etc. But listen servers are apparently similar to p2p.

I dont think COD Ghosts for PS4 and PS3 have dedicated servers. They shouldnt be getting on a modded server if the servers were dedicated. Modded servers on consoles are only possible on a P2P connection. But there are people who use in game glitches to gain an advantage, even on dedicated servers.
Don't feel sorry for me, I bought 2 X1s and both are worth it. My X1 can control my living room entertainment. As an all in one device, the X1 is incredibly easy to use. The ps4 has very little to compete with the X1 at controlling the living room. The X1 also plays games. The X1 has much better connectivity, functionality, dedicated servers, better Game DVR, better video editing tools, Skype, and a better OS. The ps4 just plays games. The X1 is in no way an inferior console.

There are advantages to going digital only with the X1. You can go straight to any game you have on your HDD just by saying "Xbox Goto *insert game name here*. Its a nice feature.
Even with this alledged downgrade 35-40 hours for a singleplayer game is worth a buy, assuming the gameplay doesn't get tedious.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the X1s worksmanship. The X1 works great and plays great games. I wouldn't even attempt to compare sony and MS or PC and MS. They are all out to make money. You are coming off as a troll.

Did you ever stop to think you might like the functionality Kinect brings if you gave it a chance. My guess is no, you obviously haven't put much thought into it.
