I saw the Watchdogs ps4 commercial on tv. I wasn't at all impressed with the graphics. But a 35-40 campaign means it could be worth the money. Ill probably wait and see what kind of reviews it gets before I make a purchase decision.
Sony has to prove VR is worthwhile. VR has not been much more than tech demos of 3D space to look around in, or simply a tv strapped to your head which is what VR has mostly been for the past 2 decades. It will be interesting to see if they can produce AAA content in VR. I don't see this tech working in full blown games as anymore than a tv strapped to your head. Moving in 3D space using your head and a controller is bound to cause vertigo as well.
The X1 is already very impressive on the functionality front. Its getting better and better with every update. Cant wait for E3, and all the new games. I love my X1.
Not a very thorough review, and the reviewer isn't taking full advantage what the X1 offers. I would recommend that the reviewer connects his/he cable box, surround sound system and tv to the X1. This will allow him/her to control his/her entre entertainment system with voice control. Secondly, a play and charge kit is in no way required. The X1s line up currently has plenty of exclusives. Going forward more exclusives will come. After a price drop, I fully expect the X1 to overcome the ps4 in NA. The 360 trounced the ps3 in NA. The only thing helping the ps4 right now is price. MS showcased a slew of games at E3 2013, and it looks like E3 2014 will be even better.

You are knocking dedicated servers because the lack of them on the ps4. You can try to downplay dedicated servers all you want. It just shows how ignorant and biased you are. Dedicated servers offer the best online gaming environment available for an online game. Fact.
There shouldn't be any shortage of indie content on the X1. Signing on over 250 indies assures there will be plenty of indie content. Over 250 devs for X1 is more than the 360 had throughout its entire life. I just hope the content quality is better than the 360, as 9-10 indie games are of poor quality. Don't want the games channel flooded with shovelware. I hope they separate the indies from actual published games.
Yeah, cant wait to see what they bring at E3 2014. They brought the games at E3 2013, we will probably see a repeat at E3 2014. The X1 continues to prove to be a worthy gaming platform. Once they get a good price drop the X1 will catch fire in NA.

No, just no. Fanboys harped about the X1 being less of a game console, branding the ps4 as a game console for gamers. I didn't misunderstand anything. But people were certainly wrong about the X1 not being a good choice for gaming. Im really not sure what internet you have been watching. Its clear now both companies want the living room. Sony has some catching up to do, because currently the X1 is a better solution for controlling the living room.
Its a battle between sony and MS to control the living room. This has been known for years. I find it funny that sony fanboys knock MS for making the easy to use all in one device that is the X1, and now it turns out sony is heading in that direction too. Wonder what kind of hypocrisy will be brought to the internet now.

I can remember the days when reading the game manual was a big part of the process of really enjoying a game. We had to rely on our imagination to get the most out of a game. Its really astonishing how far gaming has evolved since the 70s. Gone are the days of the controller consisting of a joystick and a button or two. Ill game until I die, or am so old and crippled I cant use a controller. Such a wonderous hobby.
VR has been around for decades in case you didn't know. Its a hindered technology and unless there has been something miraculous happen its still a hindered technology. I have read all about Oculus Rift and Morpheus and I don't see either one as anything more than a on rails tech demo. But you a known sony bot will trumpet this Project Morpheus as the future. $1 says Project Morpheus will end up just being a head mounted tv, just like VR has been for the past 20 years.

Its like I said before, both VR and motion controls are hindered technologies. Meaning they both are limited in what can be accomplished in the game space. Kinect is great for non gaming uses such as the X1s U.I., but motion controls are limited because of the lack of a controller to move. That's why most motion control games are on rails. MS having requirements for indie devs has absolutely nothing to do with being arrogant. Thanks to MS and the way they have the X1 set up indie devs will actually get some exposure for their games. This indie dev is essentially saying they dont have the money to put their game on the X1. That's a shame too because indie devs need all the platforms they can to have a successful game.

Being able to switch between games within a couple seconds with "Xbox Goto" command is cool as s***. I blew my 2 cousins minds by doing this on the X1. That's one advantage digital has over physical.
